I don't see why anyone would expect that. He's played one game in 9 months and didn't light anything up. I doubt six weeks on the shelf are going to help.

But he's going to be the QB for 40 million reasons. As a fan, I can only hope for the best. Hopefully, he'll get going over the course of the season. We'll see.

Tell the media to stop asking him questions and then you won't hear him say anything.

Do you think Dak just go up to journalists and say, "hey cut your mic on, I got something to say"?

What do you expect him to do when he's asked questions after a game he didn't play in and he's wearing street clothes and a journalist ask him a question??? Ignore him?? Then you all would be the first to say Dak is an *** for blowing off reporters. He's damned if he don't and he's damned if he do.....

He's asked questions after practice and after games lately that he hasn't played in..... what exactly do you want him to SHOW YOU at those specific times of answering questions??

It is not the questions but the answers! "Oh yeah it has Pop", "ask them", " It is so simple, so easy", "I'll take the offense to another level"... blah blah blah, arrogance? selfishness? He is consistent I'll give him that, he has always been like that since HS / College, always criticizing others and telling he can do it much better and how simple and easy it is.... until he starts the game and embarrass everybody but himself since it never is his fault.

Despite a solid job by Cooper Rush managing this team while Dak was gone, I don't believe Dak will just come in and light it up. Dak hasn’t had
If he can play 20% better than Rush it will be a homerun at this point.
this !

we dont want him to light up , that always doesnt last. He should play a bit better than Rush to move the ball get a couple of TDs and use the D and Run game to put the game away.

You may view it as arrogance and thats fine. But some may view it as confidence and a man who's ready to get back and do better to help lead his team.

He's not acting like he's the savior, he just comes across as someone anxious to contribute with his teammates who's already out there balling. Sometimes you can learn more from the sidelines. But hey, thats just my opinion from what I see.

Despite a solid job by Cooper Rush managing this team while Dak was gone, I don't believe Dak will just come in and light it up. Dak hasn’t had a chance to get into a groove with this offense like Rush has.

We have to show patience for a game or two (as long as we're winning) while Dak gets into a rhythm with this offense. This is not giving Dak any excuses or any passes, but I don't expect to see a solid outing by Dak until the first game after the bye because I still don't believe that hand is fully healed.

Do I believe Dak can play well enough to contribute to winning these next two games before the bye??? Absolutely. But do I think he's going to come in lighting it up?? Absolutely not. Again, let's not kid ourselves with expectations of some heroic performance by Dak after a long layoff recovering from the hand injury.

Oh yeah.... don't think for a minute that opposing defenses aren't going to take the opportunity to swipe at Dak's hand to see how well it holds up, so Rush need to stay ready!!
I don’t want Dak to come in and try to light it up. I like the offense we’ve have under Rush. Run the ball and stick with running the ball. As awful as Rush was, they still won 4 games with that Philosophy.

Sounds like the herd is spooked now that D day is approaching. Not sure why everyone is so nervous. Dak said himself he's going to take the offense to another level. He said himself how simple it is. And all that pop. Don't worry guys. Dak has got this...
Here’s another one of many that will be hoping Dak fails.

We averaged 21 PPG with Rush.

If we don't average at least 30 with Dak then what's he good for besides running his mouth and talking about things his play can't back up?
Here’s yet another one that will be using a sock if Dak fails.

If you are trying to catch the egirls, no time for needing a few weeks to get going, you are 2 games back now and losing to either the lions or bears would be costly and pretty much end any chance of catching them.

I respect your opinion and hope you are right.
To me it would be a lot better or at least clear if he said it just like that "I am anxious to contribute to this Team" instead of "I will take this team to another level" I don't know how that doesn't sound like "the savior" but oh well, like I said, I hope you are right.

Well it was KM who was dialing up 40 to 50 passes a game. Dak isn’t that type of quarterback. KM isn’t smart enough to understand that.

Hoping he now knows the winning formula. I think MM and Jerry will make sure he knows.

I don’t want Dak lighting it up. His arm leads to failure. We just need a better version of Cooper Rush.

Unfortunately we are only as good as our run game and defense.
It’s not his arm McFly. It’s just that defenses know that Dallas will not stick to the run and play accordingly.

Here’s another one who will be praying Dak fails.

Did someone appoint you chief gruppen hoser?
How dare you, average intelligence elder, speak for another?
Who raised you?
Why would you deen to say "this is wha he is."
Like a mean girl hall monitor you make yourself some thought police who vil keep der ohdah?
Quit your hurt parade.
Whatever shellacking or humiliating occurrence you have undergone, let it go!
OWN YOUR HURT AND PAIN, LESTER!
You of last was seen whimpering after the Dak debacle last January. Then, in abject humiliation you disappeared from here.
That is on you, AI (average intelligence).
Hurt and running you were and then you make your triumphant chest-beating appearance after the Eagles game.
Let it go, mean girl!:muttley:Show somedignity. Be a man, Lester!

Love how the narrative has gone from "we'd be blowing teams out with Dak" while winning with Rush, to "he's gonna need a few weeks to knock the rust off."
"A few weeks to knock the rust off" ??? :omg:It better not take a few weeks!
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see it take 1 game, but more than that is going to draw a lot of fire. He should still win this next game, but he probably won't look his best.
