I don't like all this love we're getting

Now I'm confused. I have seen people complain because they feel ESPN and others don't pay attention to Dallas or makes comments they don't like, now ESPN and others are paying attention to Dallas and saying good things yet I'm seeing complaints about that? OK

if we win by 10 or more, we will be considered serious contenders in the division and nobody will take us lightly any more. if we lose, the Eagles game will be labeled an abberation and we'll come back down to earth. i'm personally betting we come out strong again and overpower the Giants. Parcells and the team know what we're capable of, and a return to the conservative playcalling/scheming of our early games will demoralize the troops as well as the fans.
its time to get aggressive, and everyone knows we have the weapons and the defense to do it. i think we will stay aggressive and get on a roll. 10-6 is the worst i can foresee for this team, and 11-5 might well get us a bye and homefield in the playoffs - if we win the division...

This again is one of those things that we cannot control as far as the media goes so it is up to our coaches to make the most of the situation. There are three affects that this could have on the players:

1) (The Good) The team becomes determined to keep that respect that they are now getting and it solidifies them and they play even better together.

2) (The Bad) The team drinks the cool aid and becomes overconfident and slacks off on their play.

3) (The Ugly) The team goes in different directions with this and some become overconfident while others become more dedicated.

The Number 3 possibility is the worst thing that could happen since it would indicate a lack of cohesion, a lack of bonding as a team. Personally I don't think Parcells will let it go to their heads and I see too much chemistry being built for the team to go in opposite directions on this. So hopefully the players will decide to go out and earn even more respect.

Back in 03 after beating the Panthers Bill got all emotional and was singing the praises of that team afterwards Dallas started taking a nose dive. I don't think Bill is going to allow that to happen again. I did not see Bill overly praising the team after Philly I think he keeps them grounded and ready
