Then switch to a D that doesn't emphasize cbs?

I mean Carr and Claiborne but then play them off or hide them in zone?
@ChrisWesseling: "You can find a Cover 2 corner anywhere. I can go down to the 7-11 in Bloomington and get one." -- Mike Zimmer, mic'd up on @nflnetwork

Scapegoat firing of Rex Ryan.

That means we win. They got better. We got Rod.

Can't wait for the sweeping changes that transpire from what we did under Kiffin to manifest themselves under Marinelli. I bet it looks like a whole new defense.

Just wait until we draft another cb in the 1st next year after we move on from Carr

CBs are expensive. If you're going to get a young one in FA, you're going to overpay.

But I'm not sure why everyone thinks we're going to be playing so much cover 2 with the guys we've got. Even if you look at the guys we're adding, these aren't cover 2 players, predominantly.
We were pressing and playing a fair amount of single-high early-ish in the season once Mo was back in the lineup. We stopped and wend to zone when we lost the DL pressure and Lee and Durant went out and we were no longer to carry receivers over the deep middle around the time of the Saints game. Pretty sure those were injury adjustments and not what we intended to do.

And that fat spawn of the Devil can go choke on a Beignet as far as I'm concerned. Liked his multiple system, disliked him, personally, from the minute he was born and the doctor slapped his face to get him to take a breath. And he took the stupid 3-4 with him, which was a bonus. His defense played great in NOLA last season. Anybody thinking he'd have been successful with the unit we had here in DAL is selling you something. We'd have been awful, no matter what.

We spent the farm on CBs because Ryan demanded it. He needed cover corners to run his defense, according to him.
50 million contract for Carr
A first and second round pick forClaiborne

That set us back big time

Then when the D didn't do so great....Jerry fired Ryan. Not saying it was fair, but it had a lot to do with it.e.

Now we have very expensive cover corners in the wrong scheme.
Marinelli will use them better than Kiffin did.

Ryan demanded it? Is there supposed to be a person other than a coordinator who decides what the team should do in terms of player acquisition?

That darn Rob Ryan. He demanded it. Nevermind that he did not have to be listened to.

Next you will hear he used Jedi mind tricks or something.

Rob Ryan convinced Jerry that he just needed better CBs and he would create a great defense. He failed.

Marinelli just said in an interview 2 days ago that they are going to play primarily man coverage this year.
