I feel better about Romo than I did

How about accepting the fact that these players are human and subject to mistakes. On avg Room has a lot more quality games than bad ones but like any QB out there he is going to make mistakes. Sorry they can't be perfect like you. I’m sure you’re a whiz kid on your Play Station.

I don't have a play station and I don't have madden. Let's clear that up right now. You should assume things because when you do you make an *** out of your self. I know that they are human I never said that however, to rationalize poor play because someone else makes bad throws is wrong. No reason to excuse poor play.

Coming from you? :lmao: No one is rationalizing it they are being real the plain fact is players make mistakes they have bad game I don't care who you are players will make mistakes. You look at the overall play of any player not a play here or a game there but the overall performance of any player. In looking at that Romo has been a very good player for the Cowboys.

How did you feel about Romo when Brady threw those TDs to Moss? Or when Manning brought the Colts back from a 13 point deficit with three minutes to play?

For me I did not feel good or bad about Romo. Just as I did not think about Manning when Romo despite having a poor game lead Dallas back vs Buffalo or last season vs the Ravens when Romo lead the team down the field for a TD only to see the defense give up a long run but Romo came right back and lead the team once again to a TD to give us a chance.

But surely you must have felt a tinge of envy.

Not really. I like watching Manning and Brady as well as some other QB's in the NFL I think they are great and I understand they will play their careers out where they are more than likely. I also like Romo and have enjoyed watching him in Dallas and hope to see him over his career achieve both personal and team goals.

At that moment I am not thinking about Romo. Why would I?

Are you intimating that Romo could not throw deep passes to one of our WRs? Oh like say Miles Austin against Philadelphia or Kansas City? At those moments what were you thinking about Tom Brady?

Are you also wrongly assuming he can't bring a team back to win? What about Buffalo and Kansas City? As he did that what were you thinking about Peyton Manning?

Ridiculous man.

I've always been a huge Romo supporter, but I have the opposite opinion whenever I watch Brady and Manning. I think, Wow, now that's GREAT QB play. I only see it when I watch those two, no one else in the league. So unfortunately, I can't make any comparison with them and Romo, and I think others are having a problem with it too.

But the point of this thread is that both Manning and Brady make bad throws sometimes too. This is true. It's just funny to hear it after that crazy *** game where both QBs were monsters. Neither of them had a bad game, they were both tremendous.

Romo is one of the best QBs in the league and we're lucky to have him. But he's not a legend like Brady or Manning. Hopefully, he can get there.

It would do everyone good to get a little perspective like that from time to time. Watching games around the league with the same critical eye that we reserve for the Cowboys. Even the best players don't hold up to that kind of insane criticism.

I guess that's why they call us fanatics.

Yep. I think about that a lot when reading some of the comments here and elsewhere. They are human and they do make mistakes aplenty. The better ones just make fewer, and do so when it counts. Romo still has a ton of growing to do, but I see improvement.

I agree. I like Romo and hope he can reach the level that Manning and Brady have been able to accomplish. I'm not talking SB to me that is what a team earns but the overall control within the game that Manning and Brady possess

"Is it possible that Dallas Cowboys QB Tom Brady has lost the favor of Almighty God as a result of his having children out of wedlock - and is subsequently turning the ball over more frequently?" Todd Archer and Matt Mosley will consider this question and more in today's mailbag.

hahahahahaha... I love you

Congrats to the OP for actually watching an NFL game and learning something, no matter how remedial the lesson.

*GASP* Not even Manning or Brady are perfect. Shocker!!!!!

Too bad you didn't watch a Pats or Colts game like 3 years ago when Romo took over the starting job, right? Might have actually enjoyed much of Tony's play.

Yet if you mention booboos made by the best players you have now made a comparison of our hacks to the greatest players in NFL History and that is a foul.

or they get a pass because they have rings.....

By that logic, Brad Pitt and I are in the same league because we sometimes leave the toilet seat up.

there is a difference between excusing poor play...and understanding that poor play will eventually happen to all players

The positive I took from the GB debacle was that when Tony realized his teammates were not performing he did not panic and force all kinds of stuff. He stuck to grinding out Garrett's mess.

He still needs to invest time and effort into figuring out a more effective way for throwing cold and wet footballs tho. Too many passes sail high or behind. Don;t know if it's finding a comfortable set of gloves or tape, or what, but he needs something to cope better.
