that alot of people on this board tend to be very different in thier critique of Bill P from postion to position. For instance, alot of people, complain and moan about Bill P not bring in a young QB to develop or Not giving Henson PT so he can develop. But at the same time, critize bill p for tryin to develop Pettiti and Davis at their spots, because they two have struggled at times. Well when you bring in young players and start them, guess what,, they struggle. i just wonder how it makes a difference whether its OL or FS or QB. I am guessing it would be ok for the young QB to struggle but not any other young player?? I just find the lack of patience during a time we are re building from the floor up alittle funny.

No I don't think they'd be happy with a young QB who struggled, ie Eli Manning...half the people would be wanting to get rid of him already.

There is a bit of difference between developing a potential franchise QB and playing an undrafted FS and a RT who was a 6th RD draft pick.

Agreed. If there is one thing that Cowboy fans are not long on, it's patience.

so if each had been picked in the first round and had the exact same year, it would all be ok??

Personally, I find it annoying. Parcells isn't perfect, be he is hardly the sole cause of all our team deficiencies.

Good points the simple fact is people are so shallow minded to think the problem is just one thing. This is a team sport with many moving parts. Most problems are from mutliple things but people only see the results not the cause. Makes sense considering the drugs people take they don't take care of the root cause only mask the symptoms :)

Henson a "potential franchise QB"? Says who? Last time I checked, Henson was picked in the same Round as Petitti. And please don't respond with by quoting that six-year old scouting report that said he "would have been a 1st Round Pick" had he not played baseball. Wasn't that what they said about Hutch too?

You can't fill all the holes in one year but you can have servicable players at the FS and RT. Eventually, you need playmakers. The ultimate playmaker is the one who gets the ball on every down(The Qb). They take time to develop( it has been proven that Qb need 2 to 3 yrs to develop and yes, their are exceptions to the rule). On the other hand FS and RT can contribute right away. they are more reactive players than proactive(QB).

I think he is.

He made the decision to start Petiti and Davis. He made the decision to start the season with Cortez. He knew what the depth was behind Adams.

He alson has his fingerprints all over the sluggish, boring offensive game plans.

These are the reasons we missed the playoffs this season. Parcells is to blame.

Please, equating Henson's draft status to Petiti's is assinine, Henson was playing baseball at the time, by your logic Staubach was a 10th round draft pick and not 1st round talent. If Henson isnt a "potential" note the word potential, franchise QB then who is on this team? Romo? I have not seen much development, have you? Or maybe they are having some secret scrimmages at VR to get Romo ready to take over.

You got it wrong man. It's only a team game when we lose. When we win, it was Bledsoe's clutch 4th quarter game winning drive, or Bledsoe this and Bledsoe that. I really hate fans that just follow a particular player around from team to team. But I'm not bitter, really. ;)

I blame Parcells with the whole kicker fiasco this season because I believe Hoffman had a proven track record w/ kickers and punters. With that said, I don't think he went out and injured Cundiff so he could start the season w/ Cortez. Really now, who else was available at that time?

Blame Parcells for everything if you want, but make sure you give him credit when the team becomes a winner.

Maybe we don't have a potential franchise QB on this team. I haven't seen much developement from either of them. Maybe Henson should concentrate on beating out Romo for #2 and go from there.
