Thank you sir. Good day to you.

Because certainly one person who kills and makes animals suffer for entertainment or sport is much worse than others who kill and make animals suffer for entertainment or sport. Makes perfect sense..
fishing and hunting, vs dog fighting/killing, hmmmm yep no difference there:rolleyes:

Didn't say there weren't differences.. but both needlessly make innocent animals suffer for sport and enjoyment.

Ever seen a pack of coyotes bring down a young whitetail?

Ever been out in the woods at all?

Heck, Ever been to a slaughterhouse?

First off a great thread! Next Vick didn't eat those dogs(as in food) so lets not try to put hunting and dog fighting in the same light.
And last, why did the NFL give Andy Reed a pass on his sons and drugs.
One of his sons got busted with P E D's, any chance he was selling or giving them to any of the Eagles, I never heard or saw in print where the NFL cops ever looked into that.

Do the dog fighters eat the dogs?

I fish even though I can't eat the food. But I always donate my catches to friends and family who can.

I hunt on occasion.

I have never yet in all my life of being around hunters and fishermen who did it for bloodsport. I've seen fishermen gamble on each other catching the most fish, but never much more than beer money and they certainly were not traveling across state lines and racketeering.

Your comparison between sporting venues such as hunting and fishing vs. dog fighting is really lame.

Me and my wife were having dinner at my parents' house before the Cowboys/Eagles SNF game last year and were going to watch the game afterwards with them. My sister (5 years younger than me) had invited this guy she was seeing over and he shows up wearing an Eagles hat (turns out he grew up in Philly and moved to the DFW area when he was 12). Me and my dad saw him walking up the drive, both got ****-eating grins on our faces and didnt let him in until he took off the hat and put on one of our Cowboys caps.

Luckily, he was a good sport about it

That is funny.

It would never happen to me. I bet ALOT of Cowboys fan on here would be like, "Flubb You and your team" and either leave or get in with their hat on.

Never happen. Not even to be a good sport about it. No flippin way.

Its not a necessity to hunt or fish for food.. for anyone. Its an interest, something people do for sport, for enjoyment.

Just because some eat what they kill doesn't mean its necessary to do it for food.

Understand?

You can't show me one hunter who hunts because its NECESSARY to feed their family. They do it for enjoyment, for sport.

If Vick ate the animals after he killed them would that have made it alright then?

actually i could.

if he didn't torture them and fight them then yes i don't like like the idea of eating dogs, but if you raised them like cattle and used them for food it would be OK in my eyes

If there weren't hunting seasons animals would starve to death.

I guess that is humane to some, but not to me.

That's not true at all. In fact, most state wildlife agencies purposely control deer populations to keep them high, so that there will be plenty available for hunters.

Basically, they manage the deer for recreational purposes because they have a financial incentive to do so.

That's hilarious.

Racketeering is far more heinous that whatever you imagine about hunting. But you go right on believing this nonsense if you wish.

What's funny is you claim to hunt from time to time and didn't know this was ever going on.

Out of morbid curiosity what method are these agencies using to get the deer to screw at higher levels than nature already provides.

This was my question as well.

Pretty easily. State wildlife agencies manage deer habitats and make sure they have ideal conditions, or as close as possible, for them to sustain their population.

Also you could look into the Pittman-Robertson Wildlife Restoration Act.

In short, it gives money from state sales of guns and ammo to wildlife agencies to keep wildlife populations high for hunters.
