I LOVE MY COWBOYS

BUT

I hate the way this team was constructed...

A Washed up - un-Godly Slow QB - with a propensity for throwing the big INT (see the Seattle game last season)

A thrown together OL patched with beatup stiffs like Fabini and bloated do - nothings like Rivera....

Two 32 plus year old WR's One who is a complete headjob who took a crap on the Star NOT TOO LONG AGO! :bang2: One who has no respect for his teammates or coaches - the other WR is a Great Deep threat but has trouble taking the KO HIT over the middle due to him being only slightly taller than fire hydrant.

Then on the D Side aka the GOOD side we still have that GIANT hole at Cover Safety.

The offeseason? Where to start - the draft was BRUTAL - not that who we took aren't talented BUT we needed Top Shelf OL's ! TOP SHELF - especially with LA leaving and Rivera and Pettitti being slugs and Gurode getting leaped frogged against the NYG.

I have NO FAITH in this club and I'd be shocked if we won 6 games. I forsee the OL collapsing terribly and Tony Romo being put in by Week 7-8.

Is anyone really surprised by TO's antics? I mean really ...comeon...this had disaster written all over it. Andy Reid is a GREAT Coach and he couldn't handle this clown. Wakeup.

Ok, step away from the ledge

1) QB- please find for me where the rule is that you have to be mobile to be a good QB. I've never seen that. Bledsoe is mobile in the pocket and that's good enough for me. He was 8th in the NFL in pass yards, 9th in pass tds after losing his LT after week 6. Before flo went down he had the highest passer rating in the NFL.

2) OL- Rivera was a probowler in 03 and 04, do you think he just forgot how to block in 05? Let's wait to see him play a full healthy year before passing judgement. Fabini has played horrible before coming here, I still quesion that signing.

3) With Owens, we all hated what he did with the star, and most people didn't want him to come here. We'll have to wait and see how he plays this season before we say this was a bad signing. He disrespected the star and I'll always hate that about him, but I think he can do a lot of good things for us.

Glenn was one of the best deep threats last year, and you hate him because he can't go over the middle. So that only makes him....just like most other wrs in the league. That's why we have 2 pass catching te's, I'll let them do that.

4) We have a hole at cover saftey, but I wouldn't say it's a giant hole. People forget how good Roy was at coverage when Darren played. We'll have to see what we can get from Watkins or Coleman. I think we have a patch for that hole now. Hopefully in a few years watkins will be able to fill that hole.

5) The loss of LA I think will be an upgrade. Kosier was the #1 OT FA in sportingnews, and he's done very well in camp so far, so I think he'll be an upgrade with how he can play. Where was that "top shelf" OLineman going to be found. Did you want to trade up for D'Brick? I don't think so. Parcells wasn't going to draft Mangold at Center because with his "3 year rule" he's not going to give up on Johnson. None of the other players I'd really consider "top shelf". They were all pretty good, but no certain thing.

Petitti played like a rookie last year, and even so he played pretty well. Through week 14 he only allowed 8 sacks. That's 8 games after flo went down, 8 games after he stopped getting the tight end help, 8 games where he had to face Strahan, Kearse, and Bryce Fisher. Petitti will get much better this year. Just wait until after someone's rookie year to consider them so bad.

This should be a very good team this year. It will be defense and running dominated. Expect the playoffs.

Really? Less talent? so subtraacting LA makes us more talented? Did you see how **** poor the OL was last season ? Did you? 50 sacks against! It got so bad that we kept Keyshawn into PassBlock! Do you recall the Commander debacle?
Please...

You CANNOT have an immobile QB and I use that word lightly with Bledslow - with a shaky OL - - It's an Emeril Special: a recipe for disaster.

Larry Allens career is over, it was over last year. He was, in a word, awful and constantly in Parcells dog house. Addition by subtraction, and please, let me borrow your time machine because you are still acting like you know exactly how the season will turn out 1 week into trainingcamp. Calm yourself down.

Its the first week of the preseason, why dont you calm down? Where is your time machine that you are using to make these brilliant visions into the future, I told you I want to borrow it. Kosier is better and more athelitic than Allen at this stage in Allens career. Allen was so out of shape that even asking him to pull last year was a dangerous proposition.

Umm - Roy has NEVER been good at covering - it was Woodson that let him roam...

Pettiti is a nice story but still not a sure bet...

Glenn is great but aging -is he not?

There is slow...and then there is Drew...he just doesn't fit our OL...now if we had the 90's OL - fine.
And Bledsoe still - STILL! TO THIS DAY THROWS THAT BRUTAL PICK THAT KILLS YA.

Okay - but we're not better - you have NO basis for making that claim - I hope I am wrong - but all I read is BAD BAD BAD on the OL. Whiff Whiff Whiff

Last season, you would have had to have added a fourth "whiff" in that statement. Ergo, improvement

Your points are laughable and have little substance, hard to add to them.

No one gives a damn what countries you like.

So Terry Glenn, who led the NFL in ypc last year, is just going to suck this year because he's one year older? I dont' really get tha logic.

Go re watch some film from the 2003 season, I think you'll be pleasently surprised. (you seem to really dislike the cowboys, so you may not be "pleasently" surprised)

Petitti is not a sure bet, but for some reason you thought these "top shelf" lineman in the draft were?!? I think I'll go with the guy that has been in our system for a year and shown signs that he can play well, over trading up to the #4 pick for D'brick.

Well he seemed to fit our Oline last year. I guess being 1st in passer rating in the NFL before your LT goes down is a bad thing. Explain that logic to me.

Bledsoe passed for more yards than Matt Hasselback, Jake Delhomme, Jake Plummer, and Mark Brunell. All of those were in the playoffs, two were in the probowl. But I guess he can't succeed in this offense.

This line is fine.

Adams- will be healthy for a whole year hopefully. That's deff. an upgrade

Kosier- upgrade over Allen. Parcells loves to get his guards pulling and moving and Allen couldn't do that. He's more mobile and able to get to the LB and free up more in the running game.

Rivera- a year removed from back to back probowl appearances, was hurt by an injury last year. Look forward to a healthy season.

Petitti- looked pretty good last year for a rookie, but was out of shape. Was overweight, and unconditioned. He was unable to sustain a 16 game season. Expect better things now that he's in much better shape.

Let's see, 9:30 on a Monday Night......... Yep, must be time for X-Dawg's weekly rant. Same old tired drivel.

I agree that there's not much on TV on Monday nights, but can't you come up with something better to do than throw out all this inane babble?? "TO desecrated the star, the OL sucks, Bledsoe can't move and he throws picks, the OL sucks, we are playing with 10 guys on the field on defense, and did I mention the OL sucks... oh and I hate TO."

I guess most posters in this thread haven't seen one of your posts yet. The ones who have, have probably placed you neatly on their IGNORE list. Maybe I'm the idiot for not having you on that list yet. Or I just have a cruel sense of humor, and just like laughing at you...:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I'm negative b/c all I read is negative on the Boys...I HOPE THE HELL I AM WRONG! But I see no positives outta camp! NONE! It's all doom and gloom and quite frankly none of you can disoute what I said about our OL....and QB - it's a fact not to mention our 2 WR's are OLD...

So don't give me this crap about negativity - I deal in reality...

I thought it was Wolverine in disguise at first... but when he didn't mention anything about how Zimmer sucks, that notion was dismissed rather quickly.
