Last season, you would have had to have added a fourth "whiff" in that statement. Ergo, improvement

I like this team. Young, aggressive, hungry players.

The late 90 Cowboys and clinging to the false hope that Aikman, Irvin and Emmitt had one last ride in them as shells of their fomer selves with has beens and never will be's in the supporting cast. Now that sucked.

I meant to say a 1st ROUND draft choice.

So who would you not have wanted and who would you have took?

2006 Carpenter
2005 Ware, Spears
2004 Julius (Rd 2)
2003 Newman

So which one of our starters are you getting rid of for this 1st rd olineman? Who is it your taking?

Watching Robert Gallery have his butt handed to him by Trent Cole on every single snap Sunday Night goes to show that just taking a lineman in the 1st round isn't a panacea.

I can understand why X Dawg says he hates this team... I dont hate the team I hate the players...

why is Keith Davis running around with a bullet in his leg.... r we that bad? because he is not that good...

why havent the Boys drafted a QB in over 15 years?

why do washed up guys think they can make this team?

80% of the teams have undrafted FA who start on the OL or are #1 backups... the Cowboys can never seem to find those guys instead they have a laundry list of day 1 draft busts and over paid free agents... this team cannot scout and develope OL!!!

this team has trouble drafting and developing talent on the offensive side of the ball, period!!! except Witten where r the young studs on O?

I believe in football u make your strenghts stronger... the Boys did that this year with everyone and their brother playing TE and LB... So its kinda hard for me to say this looks like a "Cluster" (Clint Eastwood) but I cant say I'm on board, even though I agree with the concept!!!

I see the Boys going 7-9... with the OL injuries being the #1 excuse again this year followed closely by the "We shoulda signed Viniteri" excuse! Both will be overshadowed by the MeO effect!!!

someone said they will save this thread... why do I have the feeling I will never see it again!!!

With a name like X-DAWG is a reply even really needed? DAWG, are you really an iggle fan? You sound just as confused and clueless as an iggle fan.

He is running around with a bullet in his leg because he did not want to miss camp.

why havent the Boys drafted a QB in over 15 years?

umm we had Troy Aikman until 2000, and we drafted a QB in 2001, and spent a 3rd on another in 2004

why do washed up guys think they can make this team?

To whom would you be reffering

Name me an UDFA that starts on 25 teams please

Witten, JJ, MB3 looks good Crayton looks real good for a 7th. We havent drafted much more than that because we have been building a defense

So they did it right, but you hate it? Nice

and I see you making another few hundred moronic posts this season. I bet I am closer to being right than you are.

Depends on how you phrase it:

I love this team. We've got a veteran QB that's been to the dance and still has the arm to take it to the house. A young RB with huge potential. Arguably the best TE in the league, with another top prospect on the opposite side. One of *the* best WRs to ever play the game. Another WR that can stretch the field. A third WR that is showing more and more potential every day. An OLine that has a mixture of youth and veterans and will see improvement over the previous year.

Oh, and one helluva defense.

wow.....well said!

i must admit, the original post has some merit (no way only 6 wins) and hits a nerve but your counters/perspective threw it for a 180.

no team is solid in every area.....weaknesses aren't unique to us. we're a worlds better with our prospective squad, its ability, fire power and future than a year, two, five yrs ago.

i'm most def foreseeing this year's gang gelling.

I don't see how anyone couldn't enjoy rooting for this team. They're good kids who keep their noses clean and they appear to be focused on football. Aside from Ketih Davis being the victim of a crime and Terry Glenn taking a leak behind a bar dumpster, we haven't had an off the field incident in 3 years. A far cry from the scumbags we had on this team in the mid-90's.

I will assume you are referring here to UDFA linemen but will correct the generality.

For current starters, in the NFC East alone, there's Antonio Pierce of the Giants, Ryan Clark of the Commanders last year, and Lemar Marshall of the Commanders. And currently right now you have Mike Bell, UDFA out of Arizona being projected as the top RB in Denver. Also high on the list of the Eagles is Hank Baskett, a rookie UDFA out of New Mexico, who might get some starting time if Pinkston does not fully recover from his injuries of last year, and is currently projected as the #3 or #4 receiver behind Brown, Pinkston, and Gaffney.

There are plenty of UDFAs out there that have and will continue to make teams and might be in a position to start.

His post said 80% of teams have UDFA starting on their OLine. I just put UDFA since he is the one that said it and I was asking him to name them. I figured he would know what I meant.

None of these guys are lineman so it has nothing to do with the conversation.

Through early morning fog I see

visions of the things to be

the pains that are withheld for me

I realize and I can see...

[REFRAIN]:

that suicide is painless

It brings on many changes

and I can take or leave it if I please.

I try to find a way to make

all our little joys relate

without that ever-present hate

but now I know that it's too late, and...

[REFRAIN]

The game of life is hard to play

I'm gonna lose it anyway

The losing card I'll someday lay

so this is all I have to say.

[REFRAIN]

The only way to win is cheat

And lay it down before I'm beat

and to another give my seat

for that's the only painless feat.

[REFRAIN]

The sword of time will pierce our skins

It doesn't hurt when it begins

But as it works its way on in

The pain grows stronger...watch it grin, but...

[REFRAIN]

A brave man once requested me

to answer questions that are key

is it to be or not to be

and I replied 'oh why ask me?'

[REFRAIN]

'Cause suicide is painless

it brings on many changes

and I can take or leave it if I please.

...and you can do the same thing if you please.

I'm negative b/c all I read is negative on the Boys...I HOPE THE HELL I AM WRONG! But I see no positives outta camp! NONE! It's all doom and gloom and quite frankly none of you can disoute what I said about our OL....and QB - it's a fact not to mention our 2 WR's are OLD...

So don't give me this crap about negativity - I deal in reality...
