You should make significant free agent additions once you have a solid foundation, similar to what they had around 2021.
They declined to do that and the team was big time short on the field, namely a very exploitable middle of the defense, which the better teams took full advantage of.
Trying to add expensive free agents on to the current mess would be foolish and frustrating. They don’t act until they need to keep their head above water? That’s why I have no hope….because even when their miracle of a strategy comes anywhere close to working, they don’t know how to finish the deal.
This team needs two solid drafts in a row to get back into being a contender….but then exactly where are you with the QB situation by then??
They can sign all the “tier 2” guys they want, the next handful of seasons are going to be a rough go….and exactly what they deserve.
