You should make significant free agent additions once you have a solid foundation, similar to what they had around 2021.

They declined to do that and the team was big time short on the field, namely a very exploitable middle of the defense, which the better teams took full advantage of.

Trying to add expensive free agents on to the current mess would be foolish and frustrating. They don’t act until they need to keep their head above water? That’s why I have no hope….because even when their miracle of a strategy comes anywhere close to working, they don’t know how to finish the deal.

This team needs two solid drafts in a row to get back into being a contender….but then exactly where are you with the QB situation by then??

They can sign all the “tier 2” guys they want, the next handful of seasons are going to be a rough go….and exactly what they deserve.

Jerry has zero reason to change the way he does things. Why should he? He’s printing money and the fanbase thinks every year is the year things will finally change.

Stephen pretty much already blamed injuries for the bad year last year.

He doesn't think he did anything wrong. It was just that gosh darned bad luck that got us.

When you mistakenly think your team is good enough, you won't do everything possible to make it better. No, you simply pat yourself on the back and sit on your hands, while the competition passes you by. It's like they consider being aggressive in free agency as an admission of failure on their part.

So....just so I can understand how accurate your "feelings" are... since that's what this is entirely based on.... did you "feel" would be a failure for the last 30 years and be one of only a couple teams not to make a single conference CG, and be the butt of every football joke out there due to our old creepy snake oil salesman owner and our choke artist QB and fingernail painting podcasting gossiping pass rusher?

If so....maybe we're on to something
