I want TO here in Dallas.

After watching the rest of the division get markedly better I think TO is one of the big guns that can neutralize some of that. Honestly, without a big playmaker WR, we probably are not going to do much next year. We need TO and a revamped OLine and we are in good shape.
Add Vinitieri and McGinest and go BPA in the draft and we are looking as good if not better than anyone in the league.

Excuse me, I have to go thow up now. :puke:

Sick? TO is the best in the bix -carried Philly to the Bowl.....played one of the best Bowls I've seen ...He's no worse a guy than Irvin ....

Stop all this crap about TO's attitude - he's money.

cajuncowboy: There, you said it! You expressed the dirty little secret that everyone here has, whether they will admit it or not. Some part of everyone WANTS T.O. to be a Cowboy. We just don't like to talk about it too much, too loud, or too long.

For all our talk about whether we want him or not, isn't it a tad presumptuous that it'd be so easy for us to sign him? What really makes anyone think he'd want to sign with us? He wouldn't be the clearcut #1 WR here with Johnson and Glenn around. If he went to DEN or KC, he would be (with all due respect to Rod Smith). He's playing this year for another contract after the season so naturally he'd want to get as many balls thrown his way as possible, and he surely wouldn't get the 90+ catches here as he would in KC or DEN.

CajunCowboy,

I posted the following post last night. I knew it was coming!!!
I don't blame you one bit. :laugh2:

...The ironic thing about the Skins early FA activity is that it will very likely result in more Cowboy fans actually WANTING T.O. if he signs with the Cowboys next week.

I didn't mean to start another T.O. thread, but the irony of it all, when I thought about all the doom and gloom posters, was funny to me.

Think again about our two disasterous games against the Skins last year and then imagine us heading into a Monday Night showdown next season at Fed Ex. You can't tell me some of you wouldn't like the idea of having T.O. on our side of the field.

90 in kc?DOUBT THAT.

thats larry johnsons squad playboy.they really dont need TO as long as larry is runnin over people like clockwork.

owens would be the clear cut number 1 here since key cant get open half the time and terry is always disappearing for stretches.TO doesnt get covered so when drew throws him the ball get ready for showtime:)

I agree with this. People here make TO out to be Jack the Ripper. He isn't even Rae Carruth, Ray Lewis or Sean Taylor. The guy has never broken the law, he's an all-star athlete and a difference maker.

My problem with him will always be how he disrespected our team in 1999. I am not sure if I can ever get past that. But please folks, if you think you are slandering someone by calling them selfish or pretentious, just look around, those terms would apply to 75% of the players in the league.

I look at it this way: he was playing for the *other* team. It was his job to beat us, and standing on the star wasn't just bad sportsmanship, it was demoralizing. League history is full of stuff that players used to do to demoralize opponents. Granted, that stuff's largely illegal now, but in a way, it's his job to beat us physically and mentally.

The real blame for that should go to the coaching staff and the front office, for letting a proud organization get to the point where that kind of shellacking from a bad 9ers team was possible in the first place. It's not enough to just be proud, you have to back it up on the field--which is precisely what signing him as a FA would be doing.

Sure, I liked it better when players were drafted and played their careers in the same uniform--and behaved respectfully when doing it--but short of fixing my time machine, that perspective is impractical. In the reality of the NFL, signing TO would be a very good move for his play on the field, and I just don't see that he's capable of tearing this team apart the way he did in Philly. I also doubt he'd have the same motivation.

I just hope that we can win the SB before the cancer starts to spread. I kind of feel like signing TO is making a deal with the devil. You can get what you want right now, but it will cost you your soul.

Now that it looks like TO is coming here I see the backtracking has begun.

"I was dead set against him before, but now I want him here... but I still feel sick about it."

Spare us the drama.

Just admit that you realize it's a good signing and most people who aren't romantically inclined feel the same way.
