As to the topic of the thread; I am hoping TO goes to Dallas. It would be a blessing to see the Boys get torn apart by him, just like San Fran and just like Philthy. Sure, he'll put up some numbers...but at what cost?

Everyone bites on this "single person destroys a team" image that the media seems to propagate in the case of T.O. If the team became problematic because of a single player, then it wasn't a team in the first place.

SF blew and was a team in disintegration prior to TO's outbursts. One can claim that it was during or after the slow but steady deterioration, the outbursts began from T.O.

Philly's problem seems to stem from a clear demarcation between player responsibility and credit when it comes to McNabb and the rest of the team. The organization itself may deny it, some players may also, but there are many players on the team who feel - just like T.O. - the exact same way.

And really what's new about your perspective? If T.O. comes here, Cowboys' fan hope he stays in line and helps them win a SB. Anti-Cowboy fans hope the opposite, and hope he "causes" the same problems he's supposedly caused in the last two stops he's been at - all of course, due only to his own abrasive personality.

Sure, I wish T.O. would act better. It would have been better fiscally for him. But, I don't question the guy's dedication when it comes to playing football on or off the field.

It's a disease for our owner and right now, he needs help from the sane fans.

TO will be the worst combination of both mistakes made with Galloway and Deion.

TO coming to Dallas will require us to readjust the offense to justify his signing and the money paid. Just like it did when Galloway came. Not in my wildest dreams do I see BP taking the ball out of our RB's hands 30+ times a game to give it to TO for 90+ passes a season.

Ain't going to happen. You think Witten is going to stand for that going into his last year of his deal..? Or Terry Glenn or Key..? Do you guys seriously think we've fixed the OL to the point Bledsoe will have that kind of time to throw 90+ passes to TO in a season..?

And just like Deion, the cap slice required to sign TO will bleed us for years to come, long after any shine TO can add to the Star fades.

Remember what it was like to watch Deion go play for the 'Skins on our $ 8 million cap hit we took to let him go..?

I don't think this is doable.

TO may want to come here, some fans maybe hitting the panic button to bring him here, but if this owner and this coach throw caution to the wind to sign this guy and pay him well..

..it will mean we're going down a road AGAIN that our owner swore he'd never do again.

I personally don't think this team is good enough personnel-wise to add a TO. We've still got way too many holes on offense and defense to fill and right now, there doesn't seem to be enough talent in FA or the Draft to fill all these holes we have this year.

If they aren't filled and jelled accordingly, TO's addition will be deluted drastically if we can't run the ball, pass protect Bledsoe or stop other teams from scoring on our secondary at will and can't rely on our PK to win close contests.

This discussion of signing TO is premature.

And while I'd love to see him here under the best of all conditions, I don't think we have that right now.

Heck, the Eagles were way beyond us as a team even a year and a half ago with TO and with all their talent, a 5 time All-Pro QB and world class coaching couldn't make TO work and are cutting him loose probably today.

Let's all step back and see this for what it is.

Signing TO and the want to sign him is nothing more than an anxiety attack.

Let it pass and wait for some time to pass and we'll see it's not the answer to our problems.

Yes, we need another WR at SOME POINT, but we still have options down the road still in FA or by trade or by draft that should prove less costly and more harmonious.

Remember Terry Glenn and Key's arrival..? There maybe more to be found out there like them..but we have to play poker here on TO and not show our cards yet.

Well for one thing, nothing has been proven of ST yet. He hasn't had his court date yet. I know you guys live in Texas, but there still is that innocent until proven guilty thing in the justice system.

Second, if you can't see how threatening someone who stole something from you with a gun (allegedly) and riddling your pregnant wife with an automatic weapon are on two completely different levels, then I don't know what to tell you.

After watching the rest of the division get markedly better I think TO is one of the big guns that can neutralize some of that. Honestly, without a big playmaker WR, we probably are not going to do much next year. We need TO and a revamped OLine and we are in good shape.
Add Vinitieri and McGinest and go BPA in the draft and we are looking as good if not better than anyone in the league.

In 2006 and in the future, I think that J. Walker will be the best move the Cowboys can make at WR this off season...even if we do take a WR in the 1st.

G.B. knows that they can't get a 1st for him, this year of next year.
