What really makes anyone think he'd want to sign with us? He wouldn't be the clearcut #1 WR here with Johnson and Glenn around.
Terry's going to compete with him for #1
Key's going to compete with him for #1
Key & Glenn are better then Rod Smith
Oh please I'm going to laugh myself to death, some of the funniest things I've ever heard uttered, let along honestly believed by the second party saying it. If I see this playing out anyway...Key and Glenn are shaping up or shipping out. Those will be the options Parcells will eventually have to lay on the table for these two soon to be disgruntles when they start their annuanl whinefest to the media. People will be daydreaming of yesteryear and the uncomplicated childish behavior AB brought to our table...we'll miss it and wish it was that simple compared to what those two are going to turn into.
Just the simple suggestion that those two may not be "number 1 WR" material by Irvin last year, threw both of them into a whirlwind. Key couldn't find enough radio and tv shows to spout off after that one...well just wait until everything Irvin was saying starts dwarfing into reality right before their eyes and this all starts to settle in as plain truth in their minds. Do Key and Terry just sit on that bench with a niceguy smile across their mugs? Yeaaaaaaa, that will be the day.
Crayton will need his playing time...not gonna be only in 3wr sets AND not going to be Owens taking a seat. Do you hear the rumbles yet?
Game on the line, only one man can get the ball, Witten and Julius have been kept back to block, who does Bledsoe immediately see, the guy who gets tackled almost right away everytime unless he's wide open(Glenn), or the guy who can't get separation if his very life depended on it(Key), or the one guy who routinely beats double coverage, never lets himself get tackled easily and can take it to the house on any given toss? Can you hear Bledsoe in the huddle yet? Can you hear what he's saying to Terry and Key as they whine over and over "throw me the damn ball"? Do you see Bledsoe backing down? Do you see the rest of the guys in the huddle rolling their eyes just thinking "shut the ____ up, terry and key"? Now don't you just see TO loving this and defending his QB? I do.
Terry and Key will be the reasons why this will work here in Dallas for TO. I mean perhaps their behaviour won't be "that bad" when measured against their past sins, but rest assurred that whatever it turns out to be, and it will be something, that TO will use it to his advantage.
