This has got to be embarrassing for Garrett to go from the most wanted asst. coach to ..thanks but no thanks.

I just hope this motivates him to be the best OC next year.

He has been turned down by every open HC opportunity this year. He has to be feeling like a loser. Even when he was close he was the first loser.

Embarrassing? How many coaches were interviewed over the last 3 weeks?

I would think that it shows that he is among the elite...

Also, how do we know that Garrett is the one that diclined any job thus the other teams naming a different head coach? We just don't have all the facts.

I agree Sportsman. Same with cupcake: light a fire under both of them hopefully. What else can we hope for?

It's kind of embarassing that Rams fans have higher standards than Cowboy fans.

This is what it's come to.

thats out of our hands as fans.

WHat can we do to make the organization rethink how it does buisness.

In 2005 when the arrow was pointed way up here in Dallas and we had the core of a promising young team, everything but a qb. There was nothing but good times ahead.

There were knuckleheads all over the league and one of the best feelings I had as a fan is that while teams like the rams and chiefs have criminals for pass rushers and teams like philly had owens and the titans had pacman, we had demarcus ware...flozell adams, roy williams, julius jones, andre gurode etc......

Good people, good coaches, good atmosphere, good salary cap situation and a great situation altogether. If a young team loses, but is being built the right way there is always hope and you can always hold your head high that the team is doing buisness in a respectful and admirable way.

Now we are a laughing stock again, we shipped off good people and good coaches for players no one would touch and they burned this organization.

Now we have to hope the rest of this staff gets cleaned out and someone with some self respect and a backbone comes in and cleans it all up and gets us back to 05 with the arrow pointing up and in a respectable admirable way.

I really dont know how you can say their fans have higher standards. I have the highest of standards, and I dont mean I expect to win the superbowl every year. Just do things the right way, avoid the obvious pitfalls and put a team on the field that respects each other, their coaches and the fans.

So what does it say about practically every other OC or DC in the league that was NOT not thought enough of to be interviewed?

How are those team's standards.

Those DCs and OCs should get Troy Aikman and Moose Johnston to be their best buddy and hype him endlessly on National Televsion for accomplishing essentially nothing.

Publicity and hype, it makes the world go 'round. Evidently more so than accomplishment or merit.

One of the most stupid posts I've read today!

You think teams need to watch the TV to get a feeling if they want to interview someone!

Sheesh!

Marketing makes the world go round. How do you think Herm Edwards gets head coaching jobs when he's proven he can't coach his way out of a wet paper bag? Because he's basically a motivational speaking BS spewer, he's young and he "looks like a head coach". It's all about image.
