I hope someone in the media asks Garrett/Linehan about their playcalling tonight

if they took their stupid pills tonight.

The play calling in the 2nd half was downright bizarre. Reverse to Whitehead, jet sweep to Whitehead, going a long stretch without giving it to Elliott, up 3 with 6 minutes to go and you run play action on first down, etc.

Irving salvaged what could have been an uncomfortable evening.

I know what they're thinking.

'It worked so well in the first half, so the defense is expecting it.'

But that's completely wrong. If you do something that works (ie, run with Zeke), keep doing it until they prove they can stop you

Yep, a win is a win but our play calling literally kept them in the game. O Line moved the pile forward on virtually every running play but for some reason that wasnt good enough. Just stupid.

Zeke interview makes me think my earlier comments might have been right...Zeke sat for celebration thus Dunbar and McFadden. Looked stupid with his earlier and post production

Thing is they've been doing things like that all year and it's worked. Looks much much worse when it doesn't.

Jason Garrett played for Jimmy Johnson but didn't learn a damn thing while there or through any of their talks.

These coaches have no friggin idea how to play a hot hand or take advantage of an elite player

With the truly elite guys, you let them do **** like that and laugh about it. Why? Because they win games.

Winning the game is a whole lot more enjoyable than teaching your star player a menial lesson about not celebrating

I hated kicking a field goal to go up six with three minutes to go. Even if you don't convert, you leave open the incentive for Tampa Bay to tie and go to overtime instead of compelling the Bucs to go for the win. The benefit of another three points just doesn't justify the opportunity costs.

Linehan's pass-happy nature is back in full effect. The moron can't think of running the ball on 3rd and 2, but yeah, put it in Lucky Whitehead's hands!

This offense is working despite him, not in any way because of him. He's managed to undo all of the goodwill and compliements he'd earned to start the season.

Somebody, anybody, please take him!

You have Prescott near 40 attempts...and I will guarantee you that if he continues to have a high completion percentage, Linehan will be increasingly reluctant to fully utilize the running game to full capability. I wouldn't mind if he moved on after this year...hoping it doesn't mean a completely new offensive system for a second year quarterback. Too much trickeration and cuteness...not enough smash-mouth...especially in the third quarter, where both sides of the ball lost complete control of the game.

Tonight the Cowboys won in spite of the play-calling and the coaching on the offensive side.

That reverse to Whitehead would have went for a huge gain without the fumble. Good play call. Bad execution.

I agree.

We are built for smash mouth. We would just kill these teams if we played them that way.

Because the call was to Whitehead.

They couldn't even trust him enough to bring him to the game last week.

Is it a good playcall when you're relying on unreliable players?
