Being from New Orleans, LA, I know how good Odell Beckman Jr. was at Newman, LSU, and the NFL.

However, he is coming off his second serious knee injury and 3rd leg injury. Now fans want Odell after Jerry Dumbo GM Jones had a WR that has has been more productive, healthier, and proved he can turn a team fortunes around in Amari Cooper. Jerry Dumbo GM Jones gave Cooooop away. At least the Giants got a no.1 and no.2 pick in 2019 for Odell. He gave away a healthy 2 legged multiple Pro Bowl WR for fans to jump on the hype train for a one legged WR that now must have the tag of injury prone.

I just do not get it. And, I will not drink to Kool Aid.

Yes this has been going on (the comparison) since Cooper's rookie year. The only difference is Cooper was a Dallas Cowboys and Odell never was and is not yet.

Then don't.
I don't think anyone is forcing you to.

Yet you drank the kool aid with Cooper here. A WR making 20 mil and putting up 800 yards. The team moved on from a stupid contract which is exactly what they should’ve done. They shouldn’t have given him that contract in the first place.

Amari is gone, it's time to get over it. We are trying to win a SB and OBJ would be the most talented WR on the team... even at 50%
Things Jerry Dumbo GM Jones did that the Cowboys can not get over:
  1. Embarrassing Firing of Tom Landry (Mexican Dinner and Beers with Jimmy Johnson)
  2. Firing Jimmy Johnson (Alcohol involved again)
  3. Trading 2 no.1 picks for Joey Galloway (who never was a Pro Bowl WR)
  4. Passing on Randy Moss in the 1998 draft (Jerry got Mossed and Moss got to the HOF)
  5. Running off Bill Parcells
  6. Trading away Amari Cooper (who saved your 2018 season making 3 Pro Bowls in 4 years in Dallas)
  7. Just Wait...

How much does a no.1 WR cost today? Your sounding like a Arlington Jonesboys fan with that Kool Aid mustache...

By the way the Eagles drafted Devonta Smith WR in the top 10, and then traded for AJ Brown signing him to a four-year, $100 million contract with the Eagles, after the trade with $57 million guaranteed. So what is the Jonesboys kool aid drinking point of not keeping Amari Cooper for $20M?

Agree with much of what you say. The key difference with OBJ vs Amari is that OBJ imo will just bring more dog mentality to the Boys. Guaranteed the players will be head over heels with this move if it does in fact happen.

I don’t care what AJ Brown got. Hes younger and better! This talk of Cooper greatness is hilarious. He wasn’t worth the money considering cap issues and key contracts upcoming. The Arlington Jones boys got this decision 100% correct. You have to find production cheaper. Especially the numbers Cooper was putting up.

All I really care about is the value he brings to the offense. People get too caught up in stats and numbers. If he opens up opportunities for the other guys and elevates this offense back into the top 10-top 5, especially this year, bringing him in makes all the sense in the world.

do you remember what we looked like immediately before Amari arrived?
Did you see what WRs got paid this past off-season.
Amari’s contract was pretty close to fair based on what others got. Certainly not outlandish or extreme.

I know that WR corp was a joke built on stupid decisions. Still doesn’t justify more stupid decisions. Cooper wasn’t worth that money and not a single team besides the Cleveland Browns was willing to pay it without renegotiating.

I know it can't be proven but I would bet money that Suh would have more of an impact than OBJ. That's who I want to sign. Probably cheaper too.

You're out of your mind saying "even at 50 percent." The poor dude is coming off another ACL surgery. According to that PT expert, no WR has come back from a Revision ACL repair. Meaning a repair of a repair. In his first 3 years, no doubt he was better. But saying he's better than CD and Gallup on basically one leg is beyond silly. Lol
