Yet you drank the kool aid with Cooper here. A WR making 20 mil and putting up 800 yards. The team moved on from a stupid contract which is exactly what they should’ve done. They shouldn’t have given him that contract in the first place.
I mean I don’t get how fans don’t realize that Cooper, Zeke, Dak, at their contracts, have very little value.

The loss of Cooper literally has had no effect on this team's performance so far. And despite the claims that he carried the team and got them where they made it...they didn't make it very far. He hasn't elevated the Browns at all.

Lamb has 42 catches for 556 yards and 3 TDs. He is averaging 13.2 yards per catch. His cap hit is 3.8m this year and 4.5m next year. People feel he has not performed to the level of a #1 receiver, yet his numbers are identical to a guy that people are trying to say is what you need from your #1.

Cooper has 39 catches for 553 yards and 5 TDs. He is averaging 14.2 yards per catch. His cap hit is 4.9m this year, and 23.8m next year

During his career, Cooper has disappeared in the biggest games and at times has seemed disinterested. Lamb at times does not appear to give the best effort going after the ball.

For the minimal difference in performance, I'd take Lamb all day. Throwing in the fact that Lamb played most of the first half of the season with a QB that can't throw it outside the hashmarks, I think we will see an uptick in his numbers moving forward. Maybe Cooper's will after Watson comes off suspension.

Can we argue that Jones didn't get enough in return for Cooper in the trade? Absolutely. But from an on the field standard, there really is nothing lost.

Most nfl players don't play at their value. What's your point
I would argue that point… Tons of players play over their contract… Pretty much every good 20 to 25 Year Old, in their rookie contract, Plays over their. contract.

Being from New Orleans, LA, I know how good Odell Beckman Jr. was at Newman, LSU, and the NFL.

However, he is coming off his second serious knee injury and 3rd leg injury. Now fans want Odell after Jerry Dumbo GM Jones had a WR that has has been more productive, healthier, and proved he can turn a team fortunes around in Amari Cooper. Jerry Dumbo GM Jones gave Cooooop away. At least the Giants got a no.1 and no.2 pick in 2019 for Odell. He gave away a healthy 2 legged multiple Pro Bowl WR for fans to jump on the hype train for a one legged WR that now must have the tag of injury prone.

I just do not get it. And, I will not drink to Kool Aid.

Yes this has been going on (the comparison) since Cooper's rookie year. The only difference is Cooper was a Dallas Cowboys and Odell never was and is not yet.

Post of the season. JJ and his clown car circus.

It’s someone that will hold back younger players on the roster for not much return. But he’ll sell tickets/merch and that’s all Jerry cares about.
dumb, dumb, dumb.

Jerry could sign you as the teams next WR and no more or less tickets to the teams games would be sold. That has been played out over and over by people that havent a clue about how popular this team is and has been no matter what Jerry does or doesnt do.

After they get their contract. You know what I meant. There aren't many Donald's and Martin's. So I don't know why fans act like Zeke and Dak are rare cases

I'm totally cool with OBJ but evidently he's looking for a multi year deal. Screw that. I'd pay him for this season but that's it.

Amari is gone, it's time to get over it. We are trying to win a SB and OBJ would be the most talented WR on the team... even at 50%

all of the desperation attempts at landing another receiver make it inevitable for some of us to revisit the dumb amari decision

Jerry hears "COOOOOOOOOOOOOOP" every game for a reason so he dumps him. This FO is a clown car circus and his stajum is nothing but an expensive strip club w cage dancers. You're in trouble now!

you do realize we could have both, right? which is the entire point. if you absoulutely must compare then it should be gallup (and his contract) you’re comparing to amari.

I would agree for players who sign in the first wave of free agency… But all the guys signed after that are usually bargains…

This is a both sides view for me

Me too. Probably a lot more hype than deserved for a 30 yr old, multiple significant injuries wideout, who never stays on the same team.

If he can show some skills after that injury, it’s a tempting FA signing with WR needing some help.

…. If we do sign him, should definitely only sign if there are no significant cap implications if he’s cut this offseason. If he wants one last big bonus, high guarantee financial security contract at age 30, hit the road.

Jerry loves his receivers. I expect the salesman to bring him in and overspend. Especially because his players are Twittering they want him.

You don't need to get it. You need to accept it. You're not the owner, president, slash general manager. We don't need you to understand decisions, we need you to cheer for the team. That's all.
