If he put up 1400/1500 yards and 15 scores I could understand. That's what a top #1 looks like. Instead we get 865 yards but get to brag about his route running ability and blame the QB. lol

desperate :lmao:, Jerry did NOT make those moves, just kicking tires. he is looking for insurance.

we may not have gotten better, but we are no worse without him, 6-2 says it all Lamb who BTW was our leading WR last year is a1 , need proof, Lamb AND AC STATS ARE NEARLY IDENTICAL. odd with such a bad wr core without all mighty next coming of jerry rice in cooper to draw coverage, somehow Lamb has the same stats and let's stop the worst with Brissett, really what did Cooper rush do before this year? they both right now been in similar offenses with similar qbs and Lamb is going catch to catch with AC..

lets stop the 100-game nonsense, odd how AC disappears so many games he needs 100-yard games to catch up, we call that being inconsistent and his $$ was big reason he got cut at the time we needed cap relief and did not need a 22 mil wr who is clearly not better then lamb.

Yes AC was solid starting wr but so is Lamb.. crazy how Lamb without all that help in ced , turner, jarwin, or AC and more importantly without DAK many of those games, still has the same production as AC at this point. 100 yard games don't mean much, so lamb has 75 per or a few 90 yarders, but in the end its overall production.

please stop the nonsense his $$$ was big reason, his inconsistency and lack of passion and drive was the other. its all led to his trade and now we will move on.. the raiders saw it, cowboys saw it, now hes gone.. not an indictment on his skillset, he simply no longer fit, mostly over $$$$.

we built team with more depth now and even if JJ brings in a WR it will be far cheaper then AC would have cost us.. OBJ is short term insurance policy. IF it happens won't cost us much.

It’s laughably false to say we arent worse without him….unanimously dubbed one of the best route runners in the game…but we aren’t worse without him? Not sure how you can even type that with a straight face. Lamb was not our #1 last year. Because Amari, Lamb was able to move around and benefitted from focus on Amari. Lamb also had considerably more targets and one more game. Lamb has yet to log a single 100 yard game this year. Amari has 3 with probably a worse QB than even Rush. Also ironically, Rush and Amari seemed to click because Amari could get open without help. Who knows if we beat Philly with Amari but we would’ve been better on offense. Arguing that we aren’t worse without him is not a serious argument. Even the money thing, teams restructure contracts all the time and we had tons of money if we wanted to. Jerry’s feelings were hurt, he made a bad move, stop trying to cover for it and delude everyone with revisionism.

We are interested in OBJ because we crave attention more than we crave winning football. We are a joke of a franchise. We may someday overcome all of it, catch a heater at the right time and make a deep playoff run but it will not be because of a solid foundation. OBJ was a clown show at the best of times. Now he is an old broke down clown show. Beyond pathetic.
Nailed it!

Yeah I don't expect much from him either. This is a lot to do about nothing. At least this year.

No WR in the league would ever put up top #1 WR stats with this QB. It just isn't happening.

yeah I'm going to disagree too. I think it's pretty evident we did not get great value in return. It's not provable, but I'm sure the rumors that they were unhappy with Cooper and going to release him hurt their leverage.

I lean more toward the idea that Jerry & Co. bungled this one because, let's be real, they pretty much never get value out of players that are leaving.

Do we need Amari to win? I dunno. Are the resources being better spent elsewhere? Not right now, but maybe in the future.

You don't have to drink the Kool aid. It might be poisoned.

Jim Jones unfortunately manifested that saying, and it will be forever used, and strange that a lot do not understand or know the origin.
