I think this kid is gonna be a star.

Just a feeling.

Would love to hear from some of the football guru's about this kid.

Feelings . . . . nothing more than feelings.
If I see any "guru's" I will pose dis question to dem.
Personally, I like Witten and Curtis far better.

Bennett has the size, hands, very good speed for a tight end and has shown that he can lay down a good block. He has all the measurables to blow up in this league. My only question is whether he'll keep it together between his ears. If so, Dallas will have a tough time keeping two pro bowl tight ends on the roster in a few years.

After a rough start and poor first impression, I think the kid's doing great and should make a nice contribution this year.

He was open for a would-be TD yesterday, but Romo either didn't see him or never looked for him.

I have the same feeling... As long as he wants to be great and works hard at it.

But he does have awesome talent. There's no doubt about that.

bennett will be great -watch out for him against the eagles-unlike the browns who forgot about witten the eagles know they have to stop him and this will allow bennett to get open and have a great game.

I believe the football gurus are going to refuse to comment until we get the whole plural vs. possessive thing straightened out.

He could be a very good player for us. But I am not sure that there are enough balls to go around in this offense to create another star. Felix is awesome and couldn't even get his touches until the second half when Barber got hurt.

Agree 100%. Although I fear unless he has nearly instant success, he might turn into a "Danny Noonan" type, who quickly finds a disdain for hard work, and hangs around for the big check 6-7 years.

One of my favorite moments from yesterday's game was seeing Kamerion Wimbley try to rush Romo. It looked like Bennett had him all by himself, and Martellus just dominated him. Wimbley never got close, and when the play was just about over, Bennett took him and threw him to the ground. Great stuff.

Fixed that for you ;-)

I will say this. The kid has the potential to be a big time star. Jason Witten type star. If he develops a work ethic like Witten, the Cowboys will have the two best TEs in the league until the other TEs prove they can become world class run and pass blockers like Witten.

Bennett will be physically superior to Witten. He is already pretty much the same size and I don't think he has filled out his frame yet.

Is he closer to a WR-type or a TE?

He isn't quick enough to be consider as a WR. The only advantage he has over CB is size. If they decide to make 6'6 260lbs players play WR, then I guess he could be a WR!

Bennett will blow up in the 3rd or 4th game. Some team is going to gameplan stopping Witten and Bennett will explode.

Kid is almost 6'7 w/major hops, will be crazy in the redzone. Does not have WR speed (ala Vernon Davis or KW2) but he is strong especially as an inline blocker and running after the catch.

Whoever likes Tony Curtis better than Bennett is blind. Bennett has way more talent & upside. Heck, I like Hannah even more than Curtis.
