You have to set the ground rules early with your significant other. There is a direct tv radio ad that makes my laugh every time I hear it. The guy is singing about his lucky couch and sending his family away during the game all to the NFL theme music.

I'm getting a chuckle out of some of the assumptions that have been made in this thread. I spent some time with some good friends at a restaurant and a significant other had nothing to do with it. My intent was to get home and watch the second half but I didn't get home as soon as I wanted to. But I am touched that so many are concerned about my social life. :D

I'd never seen that signal he was using toward the end of the game when he was rubbing his thumb and fingers together. Perhaps that signal was directed toward the owners suite regarding next years contract? ;)

I think that was his way of telling all the # 1 picks on D to earn their money and do something. Which in the end, they did. Finally!

I thought we were going to blow the game. I did love how the defense was playing.

Me too. It was a pleasant surprise because based on recent history, I figured we'd blow it because of some stupid mistakes or something like that. My surprise was based on their execution , not talent level. I have seen glimpses from earlier in the season that they are capable of playing with anybody in the league when they focus and we don't hear the ref say "holding...offense...76...10 yard penalty" very often. I like what was said in one of the player interviews, that before the game, there wasn't any horseplay, talking, music, etc. but everybody was quiet, focused and ready to play. I hope that was a learning experience for the team and that they take that with them for the rest of the season.

Never thought if it that way but it's a good point. And you are correct, they earned their money that night.
