I thot it was a good move right when they made the trade. I was never on the ledge over it. We get a starting Center for the next decade, and a starting caliber WR. You have to look at the final result, not base an evaluation off of comments from ignorant mediots and some perception of a value chart in somebody's basement.

I based the OPINION off my own thoughts on the subject.

I guess as long as they put in his contract that he cant take any baseball bats in the parking lot it might work out. :D

I'd love to see em load up on the O line. Murray is gonna be thinkin contract and it's either gonna show up in his runnin or put him on the injury list. I love a shut down defense but if we can ignore the red flags on Melton let's get a bully on the line too. It'd be sweet to see em land Allen and Incognito in the next few days. I keep leavin messages at the ranch but I'm not sure that receptionist is takin me serious.

That is completely inaccurite statement. On the Cowboys trade chart they got almost an even trade. The difference was minimal. If you look at a trade chart from 20 or 25 years ago that might be different. But not the upgraded ones. This was highly debated last April and this was the resulting story.

Then you need to talk with WPBCowboysFan.

It is MY OPINION. It was not an inaccurate statement since I know what I thought.

All opinions are not equal. Some have less merit than others. Just because its called an opinion doesnt give the one with the opinion an automatic pass.

Agree. Load up as much as possible on both lines.

As if this is late breaking news. After reading your signature - something that occured when we first began discussing things today - it is evident you have been getting a pass with me.

You part of the E-Lie Love Club?

I no longer look at players for other teams and think because they are a part of a franchise other than Dallas, they stink. Because too many times they end up on the Dallas roster. T.O., Deion, Pacman.

I think Eli is an accurate passer who has an uncanny ability to throw the ball where it needs to be thrown. I watched both Super Bowls he played in, just like all the other Super Bowls and saw nothing that would suggest to me he is any more or less lucky than any other quarterback.

I think he thinks quickly, which is an attribute of an NFL starter for as long as he has been around.

I believe he is on the same tier with Romo, which is not the top tier.

I also believe if Romo had the Giants defense he would have a ring now. And perhaps should have.

But as long as Eli has two SB wins, he still is above Romo regardless of excuse making by some. Because it isn't always the defense that losses for this team.

Does that answer your question?

All the attention has rightfully been on the big defensive line pieces but shouldn't we be looking at some OL pieces as well?

I'll be the devil's advocate. From a position group perspective the OL, sadly, is one of the strongest units on this football team. Guard clearly should be addressed and another Tackle wouldn't hurt, but are you suggesting we need to do so now in Free Agency or the Draft? I'm leaning towards the draft for both; I'm not sure the Cowboys cap would allow for an upgrade.

If they didn't like Floyd, why would they like Jernigan? He's even less athletic than Floyd is.

I never followed Floyd so much so I cant say about him. But Jerrigan seems like a two way guy.[might be wrong]
I know what Stephen Jones said about 1 techniques and the 1st round I'm just speculating

I suspect that horrible defensive teams (which we are) are unlikely to win championships.

I'm sorry but I would rather focus first on the dline first and foremost. I'm also not so hot on Martin. Why are we drafting someone just so that we can protect Romo while we already have an oline that can protect him. He is also kind of a G/T hybrid I might ad. I would not spend money on a hybrid. I would though spend a 4th or 5th on a true guard or tackle.

Since the draft is deep why would we want to spend a 1st rounder on an area THATS NOT a need?

I'm not just referring to the draft. I'm talking about some of the lower priced FA offensive lineman.

Lots of OL depth in this draft. Would rather go G in 3 than 1.

Would love to come away with DE, DT and OG in first 3 rounds
