I know this is not what we want to hear

I don't blame you at all. Jerry shows no urgency to win games, yet fans are supposed to pay big money for the same annual outcome. The point of season tix is the hope of going to a home playoff game, maybe get in the pool for Super Bowl tix. etc Just not in the cards in Jerry's world. year after year of the same garbage.

Some knock you, but they'd get tired of spending 500+ a clip too.

That may be true for some, but not for all. The point of season tickets for me is to be able to go and be entertained beyond what can be at home and hopefully create some lifelong memories with someone special.

My dad took me and my friends to the Cotton Bowl beginning in the mid-60's and those memories are etched into my memory as some of the fondest in my life. I've been blessed to be able to return that and take him to many games over the last 29 years as a season ticket holder, but never did I do it because of some hope of playoff games. Sure, I want to continue to experience the thrill and atmosphere of a playoff game, but that's not the driving force behind buying tickets.

My dad is no longer with us, but hopefully I'm creating the memories I have with my grandson now.

but we all know about the issues the team is facing with poor decisions and poor play.

but as so many times before..

as fans we can do little until the season runs its course.

We have been doing that now for 25 years.

I have 4 seats in ATT stadium I share with my brothers.

We have had these since 1965.

We had a conference call yesterday and we agreed to sell the remaining game tickets and not attend games until Garrett is gone.

We can't take anymore mis-direction from the owner and coaches anymore.

The quality of play is just poor and embarrassing and in no way can you call this entertainment.

When we are spending $100 a person to attend Jerrah World b/w tickets, parking and food..

it is a unsettling situation.

How you guys respond is your business.

I think here in Texas..

you call it putting your money where your mouth is.

We have withdrawn our support after nearly 55 years of paying for the stadium and now the Star.

Just something I wanted to share.

Brother you wont be missing a thing . From 65 you have seen the absolute best of the best and suffered through 20 years of crap . Good for you . TVs are so big and crystal clear now I just cant bring myself to deal with those Eagle fans would rather watch at home in the safety of my house . Plus who do you really want to see live .

Most of these new generation of talented players are either injured or suspended Im disgusted with it .

Did we have to worry about Bob Lilly or Randy White being suspended . Did Tony Dorsett get suspended and F our season Hell no that was a time to attend games live plus TVs absolutely were primitive in comparison to what we have today. Watch at home Jerry has made enough off this inferior product for too many years now

That's great, but if you're going to games for a few decades you have to have some expectations. You can't say it doesn't wear on you. Jet fans keep going, but the memories certainly aren't the same as say a team like NEs fans. Or the Giants winning 2 championships. It's a completely different atmosphere and getting to see your team win and do well and participate in the playoffs is very much a part of it. Nice to spend time with family, but things change and they should change from a team aspect too.

I used to go to Met games when I was younger and it was great just to be in the stadium. Had awesome seats. First row right in front of first base. Looking out at Rusty Staub for a decade give or take. Very cool and good times. Then my Dad got tickets to the 78? Yankees playoff game 'the Chris Chambliss home run' when the place exploded. There's just a huge difference.

You are absolutely correct that the atmosphere and excitement when winning is much more electric. The atmosphere at the 2014 and 2016 playoff games was electric. But what I was addressing was MY reasons for buying season tickets. Everyone has their own reasons and expectations and I'm fine with that.

I'm ok with that, but you should experience both. Not just the humdrum existence of a franchise with no end in sight. Kids don't see it that way, but once they actually experience it they will. Like going to 8 games a year then watching other teams participate in the playoffs. Why is that? You got to question it. Those games in 14 and 16 were electric in a very disappointing Jerry Jones fashion.

Fair weather fans need bans.

Cancel your account if you don't support the team.
I think he's just saying he cancelled his season tickets after many years....not avoiding them completely on TV.

Many or most here arent season ticket holders anyway, so hes just dropping back to that level of support.

I've never been so deflated as a fan and I've been once since 1972. Obviously I've seen worse seasons but this rot down from Jerrah to Garrett has broken me. It seemingly will never end.
2015 was rough too

That's so cool, you're fortunate to have met someone like him at that point in your life!
I also met Calvin Hill.

I lived out on Forest Ln by where they used to practice.

I was attending SMU at the time.

There was a self service car wash there and I stopped in to do one.

A big, tall rangy dude pulls in with a Ford Bronco and walks up to me.

He asked me if I had any quarters.

I said sure..gave him change and as he turned away..

I said..

"aren't you Calvin Hill?"

He shook his head and said

" no"

I said "ok.. But good luck this season"

He smiled and said

"thanks."

I said no problem.

I guess he shied away from attention at the time.

I told my roommate what happened later and he said cool.

It was cool.
