thanks bro.
unfortunately, it appears to be a maintenance thing where the cats get rid of the rat for a few months.
however, the critters ultimately come back because 1.5 ft gap between the inner and outer wall just leave too many places for rats etc...
You seem mighty proud of that 1.5 FT. wide open&gaping ingress yer' sportin' in the abodement of PUTTY o_O

I bet it's pretty drafty,huh?
And ,I'm not even gonna' inquire as to the problems encountered after getting stuck once again, with the anticipated rapid fluid influx finding it's way in there & the subsequently slow drainage yer' obviously suffering from o_O

Fill that gap with cement. That’ll fix them varmints. :muttley:

that is a lot of cement.
in a rough estimate - about 50' x 50' x 1.5' x 2 = 7500 cubic feet = 1,025,000 pounds (at 150 lbs/cubic foot for concrete) or 500 tons...
i have steel i-beams every 6' but that weight may be too much.

i have considered using spray foam.
however the driveway is very steep and most trucks cannot make it up there.
