I love Phil Simms

A win tomorrow does not make it go away. I laugh evertime I hear that. I heard that in 09 when we beat the eagles the lat game of the year. I heard it the next week when we beat them again. By the next season it was forgotten.

I think a loss tomorrow may stain his legacy

Trent Dilfer by far is the best and the most unbiased analyst of them all...

When he speaks I listen..I could sit for hours listening to this guy...

He does LOVE the Cowboys and you can feel it...

Hillarious Brian Westbrook talking about romo not being able to get it done.

Hillarious, no member of that eagles team that made a run should ever ever say about other players they couldn't get it done.

Hillarious. The eagles and Andy Reid's run through the early 2000's is the epitome of not getting it done.

They were extremely talented and well coached and were in a bad division for years and the conference was down for the early part of there runs.

They should have gone to three or four Super Bowls with the teams they had on defense and the state of the NFC.

Yet they couldn't. Losing at home year after year in the playoffs.

Absolutely hillarious that Brian Westbrook would say that.

And to his comments that they didn't fear romo, please. First Westbrook didn't play defense and second they looked pretty confused trying to stop him in 07, the first meeting in 08 all three games in 09.

Hillarious, hey Westbrook who ended the eagles run in 09.

Tony Romo.

Does Westbrook make it to every show each week? Knowing that guy he mus miss at least 2 to 4 shows a year with some sort of illness or injury.

Don't you think that's a bit of a contradiction?

Him and Dave Meggett gave me nightmares.

I;m thinking because he is not that far removed from the game. Remember he played just 3 years ago so he probably still has that dislike toward the cowboys. I think that will change over time

Romo has certainly been making good throws, but there is just something missing. That magic. He doesn't get the ball out as quick as when he came on or put fear into teams by running for yards and first downs.

maybe the constant talk has gotten to me, but when Romo is his own redzone, they play very conservative, not trusting him to throw. And Romo doesn't bring that excitement anymore, he use to be just like rg3.

offense just bogs down too many times. Or maybe that's due to the total lack of a running game compared to his earlier years.

regardless if the playoff losses are all his fault the 1-3 playoff record still can't be ignored because most great QB will win more than 1 out of 4.

The sample size is too small. Just a bounce here or there and that's 3-1, not 1-3.
Anyway, Peyton Manning was 1-3 after his 1st four playoff games.

Exactly, well said.

+1

You got that right. There was nothing worse than when they would get Meggett singled on Bill Bates. That was painful.

Peyton is not allowed to be brought up in this type of discussion for obvious reasons

It is ridiculous. I had a Jets fan say to me here in NJ the other day, man you guys need a new QB just like us! I just shook my head as I can't take someone serious after a comment like that. Sanchez couldn’t get a starting job in high school and Romo is top 5 or ten in pretty much every stat that measures a QB. Just for kicks I looked up the numbers over the last 8 games. Yet I have to hear idiots make statements like that? I could live with people that aren't really sports fans making ******** statements like that but I hear guys on Mad Dog radio today asking a reporter from Dallas if Romo and Garrett are both gone if they lose tomorrow.LOL I also keep hearing this same "stat" repeated, Romo is 1-5 in these type of games..*** does that mean?? When he locks up playoff spots in 06, 07 and 09 and wins a playoff game in 09 why do they not count?? If he wins tomorrow you won't hear anything about him but god forbid he loses!! Then it was a HUGE game.

1. Romo-66% completion 328YPG 17TD’s 3int’s QB rating 104.3
2. Brees-66% completion 308YPG 19TD’s 10int’s QB rating 96.7
3. Rodgers-64% completion 243YPG 16TD’s 4int’s QB rating 102.6
4. Brady-61% completion 304YPG 20TD’s 5int’s QB rating 99.6
5. P. Manning-67% completion 280YPG 17TD’s 7int’s QB rating 99.1

Phil Simms is one of the few that do not have hate for Romo. The others have a bad case of Romo hate. Yes Romo makes mistakes, but he does not make no more mistakes than the QBs that everyone thinks are the top guys.

All QBs get fooled at times by the defenses, all of them make mistakes.

As Simms stated Romo has not had a dominate team around him, as the other top QBs have/had.

The Giants offense was so boring...every game was a ball-control slugfest against them. I remember when 8-10 minute drives were common place for them.

Most Parcells offenses were that way. Didn't help that at one point there was a controversy between Hostetler and Simms in the late 80s early 90s that pretty much ended up with neither QB winning because neither was the same. Simms was never as good as he was in the mid 80s and Hostetler was traded to LA and never did much there.

Dude you gotta learn to walk away. I learned that two years ago when in the Orlando airport I was wearing a Cowboys hat and this great guy with his wife and two kids engaged me as he was a lifelong Cowboy fan. After about a minute he then says, "We need to get rid of Romo." "Okay" I said. Who then?

He comes back with "Quincy Carter could've taken us to a Super Bowl." I shook his hand said goodbye to his wife and walked away.

You simply cannot get caught up in ignorance.
