I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm going to enjoy the ride. And I'm sure not going to turn my nose up to W's just because they happen Sept - Nov.

I just hope that this team has found its identity. A running team that plays good defense. We will know far more after the next two games.

But I smell the end of uninspired efforts by the 'Boys this season.

I think the NY game, and the ensuing 1st half of the Carolina game were the final pieces of the emotional puzzle needed for the Cowboys to move forward to becomning the team that they can be.

I saw a Defense on Sunday that played very well out of the lockerroom in the 3rd Qtr on Defense and then made the game winning play instead of folding in the final minutes. I saw a team take it upon THEMSELVES (finally) to win a football game it needed to win against a desperate opponent.

I saw a QB lead a team and play with great confidence and judgement.

I by no means think we will go unbeaten the rest of the season and I'm still not sure on this point, BUT I saw a Head Coach quietly dress down his Off Coordinator for two terrible playcalls on the goalline and with good reason. The same head coach punted the football when it was the better choice to punt the football for once. Basically I saw an excellent Defensive Coordinator POSSIBLY become a good Head Coach as well.

I saw an excellent special teams unit that had the Panthers frustrated with their ineffectiveness.

I saw some key veterans play inspired football, and some youthful players take advantage of opportunities when they arose. I saw a running game that is three deep, and completely three dimensional bolstered by a nasty, hungry offensive line.

I think that Wade might now have the respect in the lockerroom to get his message to the players. He has not panicked in the face of adversity, and I don't think that his team will either going forward.

I smell something cooking in Dallas... and it might take some time to come to boil... but it might be pretty tasty when all is said and done. The end of uninspired play. With the talent on this club... how neat would that be?

That is all.:star:

I like the optimism, that is a trait that is somewhat rare in these parts recently.I'm not going to annoint this team anything yet, history tells me that an implosion is around the bend. Now however if they play real good the next 2 weeks and then follow it up after the bye, well that will be another story.Something I am looking forward to is the ranking of the offensive and defensive units at the bye.Hopefully the offense will still be towards the top of the heap in some meaningful categories and the defense will show some improvement after a shaky start.December will be the true test for this team, but December won't matter if they stink in Oct./Nov.

I might be crazy, but I have changed my thinking some and believe Wade is right coach for this team. If Romo continues to play solid, mistake free football this club will be a force in the playoffs.

It seems the players believe in the staff. Now its time to exercise discipline and fulfill their potential.

James said it right winning ugly.

Good Post!
Nice to read some good positive perspectives for once. And rather if any fan, or even the most negative fan [yes we know they are out there] has to at least agree somewhat in your post. Even if it's only wishful thinking on their part.

I myself can see this as a leaping point into more confidence by the entire team and coaches. But they [he players] will say they have a lot of work to do, and a long road to travel. Which is true. But it has to start somewhere. And it did in that 2nd half Monday night.

I like the positivity too...Everything everyone else said is true but these things take time but we do gotta get it going in december...maybe this running game will prove the difference.

If we cant beat the Donkeys and the Chiefs, then we are total frauds. No way in hell we should lose to those 2 teams if we are legit this year. Its the freaking AFC West guys!!!

Me too, man. EVERYBODY wants wins in December and, more importantly, playoff wins. EVERY FAN. Having said that, I refuse to disregard all accomplishments until the end of the season. I too am going to do my best to enjoy the ride. I'm going to enjoy each opportunity to watch players like Ware, Witten, Ratliff, Barber, Romo etc. in their prime.

This team is not playing perfectly, but they are showing improvement in certain areas. They are made up of mostly hard-working, good, team guys, that want to win. They may be frustrating at times, but they are not a hard group to root for these days.

There are four quarters to a regular season. Let's finish this first quarter 3-1 and appreciate that we have put ourselves in a position to have a good season. If you don't start off well, it may not even matter how you finish.

We could go 5-0 in December and January this season... but if we started 3-8 that doesn't matter much now does it? If we went 5-0 and missed the playoffs you guys wouldn't rest on that, you'd be crying and whining about why we didn't win in Sept. - Nov.

Why do you even watch the games before Thanksgiving? Obviously they don't mean anything win or lose to some of us.... Like a poster above said, if we win now it's "call me in Dec. and Jan." but if we lose now, the sky is falling. That is the definition of a "no win situation".... Somebody's been watching too much ESPN...

I'm with you. Win as many as you can now. We'll worry about December in December.
