Uh yes it does.

The very nature of the play relies on the speed of the WR's (leading them at full speed while they create separation with AIR on the ball) and the depth of the safety's after the playaction (how far you have to throw the ball again requires big air).

You cant a throw an effective flea flicker 40 yards or risk underthrowing it.

Not saying can't throw it because he can. JG just realizes potential for failure and prefers the delayed handoff instead.

Negative. You could throw a flea flicker on a crossing route. While it's mostly used for the deep ball that doesn't have to be the case.

And for emphasis...

Pennington and Dolphins were rolling early, including a 39-yard flea flicker touchdown to Ted Ginn, before a forced pick-six to Jordan Babineaux.

Quincy Carter completed a flea flicker to TG against the Cardinals in 2003. Romo's arm strength is the same as Quincy's.

It is not as if Dallas ran the flea flicker every game. Bledsoe did it against KC and Washington in 2005. That was the only offense Dallas could muster in that Washington game. Twice in one season is not much at all.

So far there has not been a lack of big plays in the offense. There is also no problems moving the ball. The problem has been finishing off drives with TDs in the red zone. The flea flicker is not going to solve that problem.

I like the flea flicker, but it was never a staple of the offense.

Bill leaving because he didnt want to have to deal with jerry anymore.

I can't say I really blame him. I really doubt Sparano wanted to work for Jerry either.

MMMMM....I remember that Cason run.

And then we got our *** beat.

We won that game!!!!

I can still smell the stadium from that game in november of 03. that is the famous parcells PC where he led off with "you can't call them losers anymore"

The dolphins handed out a butt kicking of epic proportions on thursday of that week. You could see how drained the team was from that panthers game.

I absolutely loved that panthers game. If I had a time machine I would go back to the stadium that day and relive it!!!

oh oops, yep we did!! I thought you meant the cason panthers option play with richie anderson!!! Sorry bout that.

that was Parcells first game.

I am working on a giants-cowboys rivalry video when I have spare time and I came across wade doing a big huge fist pump when Atlanta stopped us in the 4th to win the game.

Its pretty funny.

Quincy missed a wide open dan campbell right before the half against atlanta and it changed the whole game!

Yeah... to a Vick-less Falcons who went on to lose 10 of their next 11 games.

With each post where you constantly rail on Romo and then mock those who do not you drift further and further towards becoming an the exact mirror of those who you mock.

Those who defend him at all costs are the same as those who mock him at any given chance. Equally ridiculous.

Drift further. I have not taken this guy seriously for a long time. I might as well use the ignore button because I just run past his post anyway.

Truth sucks...

You must be in denial. You have a long way to go as that is the first step of the grieving process.

I support you though! We will get through it:star:

I dont rail on him. Just pointing out the obvious to me. Thread was about why we dont run the flea flicker and I told the truth on why.

Due to the routes and the timing of the release, you need the big arm to run the play. If you can potentially underthrow the flea flicker, you wont be throwing it.

Thats why you see Brady throw it to Moss. 70 yard throws. Just throw it out there and let your WR run to it.

Not hating on the "franchise"... he is the man!

Jamarcus Russell can throw 70 yards. I'll take Romo thank you, he doesnt have an absolute cannon, but he obviously can make all the throws.

Dallas ran those trick plays because the offense wasn't adequate enough to create drives. It's the same thing Parcells is doing in Miami with the wildcat. It can only go so far. That said, a flea flicker here and there couldn't hurt.
