Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Irregardless, looking like a "dufus" is irrelevant to playing on the football field (see Peyton Manning - if "dufus" if someone who isn't that good looking which is completely subjective) and is nothing but a cheapshot.

Manning has the ultimate "dufus" look, but boy he looks good doing it.

True. True.

I'm actually talking about the look on his face. The wide open mouth and the glazed over look. Just doesn't look as sharp or as alert or as fired up as Roam-o.

Romo has that character thing going for him. A QB needs that. Henson carries himself like a bump on a log ... and doesn't appear vocal or intense. Roam-o does ...

That's what I was trying to say ...

I've read just about every report and chat from the camp reports and I have never heard that Romo knows the playbook better. I've heard he seems "more comfortable" in the offense, but that is not the same as saying he "knows the playbook better". That's apples and oranges.

I'm not saying you made it up and I'm not saying Romo doesn't look better at this point in Henson's development, but I have never seen that info and unless you have a reputable source, I believe that's an unjustified criticism that is part of the reason you take the cheap shots you take at Henson when you refer to him as a "clown".

Now if the coaches actually said that, then Henson needs to get his rear end in gear and get the plays down. There is no excuse for not knowing the playbook.

I've been around long enough to know that what I'm saying is true. I'm not making it up ... do some research for yourself. I'm not your wife.

"Pedigree" Vs. "Moxie"! Is that what you mean? :D

BNA and accuracy should never be in the same sentence.:D

Nobody has said Romo knows the playbook better.

What has been said is Romo understands the offense a little better, and since he has an extra year in it he should. He also is not having to adjust to playing again or working on a new motion.

But hey, once again, let's not let the facts get in the way.;)

No ... Pedigree is a fluff term and has no appliable meaning. I despise that term.

I think people underestimate Roam-o's physical ability. But he does have more "moxie" ...

I'd prefer people use the term, physical ability.

And I think people are WAY off-base when they assess that Henson has much more physical ability...

It was a joke, Banned.

So, you're telling me that understanding the offense better has nothing to do with the playbook.

:lmao:

Get real.

They're slapping you in the face and you just contradict yourself with them ... these things called facts ... anyone with a clue knows that understanding the offense means undestanding the playbook, which is what the freakin' offense is.

You haven't proved squat. I just said I wasn't your female dog. You go look up the fact that Romo knows the offense better. Don't be such a lazy POS.

If he knows the offense better ... guess what, genius??

He knows the freakin' playbook better.

Well at least this thread had 2 pages of interesting dialogue.Somewhere along the line it was high-jacked by agendas .Too bad, it started off being a great read. :(

So what you're saying is, no one has actually said Romo knows the playbook better, huh?

Christ - do you want to play semantics all day ... or do you want to get to the point?

Knowing the offense better which has been said ... "Romo knows the offense better" ... means he knows the playbook better and how to execute it ...

I'll simplify it since you seem to be "challenged".

In other words, interpereting the playbook translates to execution.

Talk about fluff terms. Moxie is about as fluff and worthless as you can get.

I agree to an extent. But I think we've heard that one from the coaches mouth. And it means to have the ability to face difficulty etc etc ... and The Tuna himself said it ... and the definition fits ...

I've never heard Parcells mention the word "pedigree" ... that's come from the Henson-agendaites.

Typical.

The playbook is just where people are lined up...formation...what they do...routes, blocking schemes, designed running hole, etc.

Understanding the offense is about taking the play and recognizing what the defense is doing to stop your play. It's making pre-snap reads, knowing the hot receiver, or knowing the play called won't work and you need an audible.

Banned hears understands the offense and reduces it to a kindergarden level of knows the playbook, when it is actually not that simplistic.

He should know the playbook better. He's had an additional year with it. Honestly, I don't think it's fair to say one knows the play book or doesn't. The light goes on eventually or it does not. All QBs go through this. You look at a guy like Roth and the Steelers didn't give him the whole playbook last year. He worked off of a condenced version himself. I mean, it's only natural.

According to BZ ... knowing the playbook better has nothing to do with knowing the offense better.

:lmao2:

Jesus H. Priest, where do we get these people?
