I predict that The Cowboys will sign Randy Moss. There would be no bigger free-agency splash that Jerry Jones could make than this as an owner, and as a general manager, there would be no better #2 free-agent WR he could target. In fact, if he does not target him then he is not doing his job as GM.

Moss is an exceptional talent and can be used interchangeably as a #1 and #2 WR, but be mainly used as the sure-fire deep threat that Dallas covets. Paired with T.O. the combination would be unstoppable. Don't minimize this potential move either. We all thought T.O.-to-Dallas was unthinkable and now should all be thankful that Jones had the vision to see past what we the fans initially could not see and/or aceept.

Also, don't just assume Jones will be so willing to give up a first round pick for another #1 WR like Roy Williams when he can keep the pick and still sign a better WR in Moss. And please don't counter this by saying that Moss would never come here because we all said the same about T.O. Also, Moss WANTED to be drafted here, and even though he's upset he was not, I think the chance for him to finally come here and finish his career with what we have in place (not to mention the millions Jerry will throw at him) will be intriguing, and that he would seriously consider it.

I predict someone will lose their mind and start a thread whereby they make the bold and foolish prediction that we will sign Randy Moss this offseason.

He had better extend T.O. first or all hell would come lose.

I do not see this happening in any possible way. They're going to have to give WAY to much money to get him, and he's in his thirties now, and then you'll have to turn around and give T.O. another 3 year deal worth big money, as well, and he'll want more per season than Moss gets. I don't see this happening.

You're dreaming. Moss stays in NE. Brady already said if Moss goes, so does he.

I don't believe it will happen, however, if it does....it will be more exciting watching him play.

Where is Brady going to go, when he is under contract?

Exactly. Brady can talk all the smack like that he wants but he has zero leverage. He's got a long term deal and he'll be there regardless. But, that said, Moss will likely remain in NE and even if he doesn't it wont be Dallas he's playing for.

Moss isn't leaving NE. He is finally in a situation where he is happy.

What is so hard for folks to understand about that?

Maybe Randy Moss is happy because he knew he was playing for a new contract...

The Patriots have an aging defense, with plenty of slow linebackers. They have got plenty of holes to fill. And teams pretty much started figuring the Patriots out anyways by the end of the year.

There is no way they are going to follow this season with similar offensive numbers next season..

No way in hell we'll sign Moss. None. Now if T.O. wasn't here, that would be different.

I dont see it happening.

I will say though... if the defense holds them in the last two minutes then the reason for bringing Moss is was a GREAT success(GW, game ending TD in SB... but they didnt and that will change things... ALOT

Randy Moss changed the dimension of that whole offense. If Randy Moss leaves the Patriots, you can be damn sure that they will drop into average way quicker than they would with an aging Randy Moss. The only reason the Patriots were successful was because teams were dropping so many men back in coverage to stop him.

This allowed the offensive line to give Brady plenty of time, and even when they weren't, the Patriots adjusted and just dinked-and-dunked with Wes Walker in a field that was already stacked to protect against the deep ball. The Giants were beasting out short, and they were hitting Wes Welker at the line. Look at how Jacksonville played the Patriots.

They were so scared of the deep ball, they simply allowed Welker space in the zone.

I don't see this happening either but I did hear an interesting interview this AM. Guy was saying that NE may not be interested in signing Moss long term. Said they would probably consider another year or two but not a long term deal. Said Moss becomes a HC when he has security and that they would rather deal with Moss year to year because it gives them leverage. Now, I don't know if this is true or not but I do believe that if NE decided to take this approach, Moss would probably leave for a more secure contract.
