Moss isn't leaving NE. He is finally in a situation where he is happy.

What is so hard for folks to understand about that?

He may not leave New England, but I do not think it will have anything to do with happines.

He is 30 years old coming off a record setting year. This is probably his last chance at a huge pay day.

New England will have to pony up the dough. I have been wrong before, like last night when I thought the Patriots would wax the Giants, but I do not see Randy turning down a big pay day to stay happy in New England.

If New England puts up the dough, then you are probably correct.

I predict the clock will strick 5:00 P.M.... There's no way Jerry will bring in Moss because of chemistry issues. I believe a young guy like Roy Williams would be just what the doctor ordered.

Jerry is a guy who leaves no stone unturned. He will look into it, and at the very least drive up the price.

What did Moss do in the Super Bowl to make a difference nothing. Sorry I rather spend the money on other WR that cost less or trade for a younger upcoming star guys with less baggage.

Randy is not the answer for this team let the Pats keep him.

There is just nothing about this that I can wrap my brain around as being even remotely possible. I just don't see any way that we'll get Moss, at all.

I'm honestly not even 20% convinced that we'll get a WR from anywhere but the draft. That is just my gut feeling on all this trade/FA talk about WR.

I don't think Jones worries about chemistry one bit. He didn't bat an eye to all the talk of TO destroying the team, etc.

The problem will be just how much money can you tie up in two 30+ WRs? $7M is already going to TO, and naturally with Moss the two contracts need to be similar to avoid complaining. That's a pretty good hunk of change off the cap for a couple of older guys who may start to slow down before the contracts are cuttable.

Now, I don't think Moss is a dead lock to stay in NE - the Pats have stayed where they are as long as they have by showing iron discpline in not paying long term contracts to older players, and Moss will certainly be looking at the market after the season he just had.

But I'm not sure it makes fiscal sense, and Jerry for all his faults is pretty good managing the FA budget.

Another over 30 year old wr??!?!

Please... I love my Spurs, but you can't continue to be successful in the NFL in signing older players. Snider proved that...

No to Moss, not just because of his age, because all the other reasons are pretty obvious.

Chances are low, but I certainly wouldn't rule it out. I'm not sure if Randy would come here given his animosity for Jerry and what happened in the 1998 draft.

One thing is for sure - Crayton is not a capable #2 receiver, so Jerry needs to find *somebody* - in the draft, in free agency, or somewhere on this roster.

Roy Williams

That would be sweet! He could learn a ton from T.O. and not threaten T.O. at all because he's young, and that is what you need, young players.

Moss? No way!

id rather take chad johnson

I'm not sure why some people don't like Chad Johnson? He's good! Plus, he's funny and has a good time. He races horses! (but the horse won)...

Has he ever been in trouble with the law?

If I had my druthers, Larry Fitz would be a Cowboy but as Hos has stated a time or two, I smell Roy Williams close by, and not the slob that's already on the team.

I think its a given that Jerry gets a veteran to be the #2 receiver. Expecting a rookie wr to start is asking way to much.

I think the key here is Moss wantED to come over here -- as in past tense. I think he since has gotten bitter feelings when it comes to the cowboys, and does his best to be a cowboys killer.

:D BTW, this is a bit of my sense of humor, ;) but the Patriots started *losing* superbowls once they added moss.
