The only tale told was, that neither were worth their "billing" or all the talk people did about them last off season.
We have an underachiever and the other possibly setting his tone in this league as injury-prone.
The benefit is not that we got Felix over Darren, it's that we kept Barber and didn't get fully fooled by either of their supposed "potential". In the end though, we may have possibly wasted a draft pick on one of them.
And hell, I can think of a couple of players off the top of my head I wish we would have drafted instead of Jones. Hindsight is 20/20 though. Live and learn.
Just don't be foolish enough to think we got the better deal yet though. We don't know what we got, or if what we got actually was better than the other.
All that has been deciphered is, McFadden hasn't really panned out as a starter, and Felix hasn't really panned out as a backup. Neither fitting the role they were brought in for by their respective teams that drafted them, as of yet.
How about we just wait until we see if Felix can last 1 full half of a season before we start anointing him anything. The guy's played 6 games and puked out.
And though injuries do happen in this league- you sure don't like seeing them happen to a rookie. It could spell "trend".
Though in the end (of year 1) it is playing out quite similarly to the previous handful of years were these 2 were concerned. One starting on a team, the other not. And perhaps the one that's not starting, is not starting, for a reason- and we may be seeing it firsthand.
