I mentioned this in another thread but it deserves its own. That catch on the longball was ridiculous. DB draped all over him straight up interfering and he comes down with it. He had a step on the DB and when Dak didn't get enough on it came back to the ball. That was bigtime. We might be seeing the emergence of a longtime #2 to CeeDee. Like Drew Pearson and Tony Hill.

Cooks needs a couple of things.. I think he needs to be the primary slot guy and he needs some 9 routes to announce his speed to the defense. We are constantly having him run crossers and the like. He's not a big body guy and frankly Dak can't see him among the giants when he goes across the middle anyway. Big Mike used Randall Cobb and Greg Jennings to near perfection in Green Bay and neither of them was as good as Brandin Cooks is at any point in their careers. I honestly don't understand why McCarthy is struggling to find a rhythm for him. I guess the Dak haters will chime in that Dak is the problem but CeeDee just had a franchise record season with Dak and Amari Cooper had his best seasons with Dak. And Cedric Wilson got PAID from his work with Dak.. and aint done diddly since leaving. But then Noah Brown had a decent 5-6 game stretch with Houston last year.. but then fell off.. I don't know what it is.. definitely a head scratcher.

Even the great Patrick Mahomes underthrows some of his receivers. Difference is his receivers bail him out at times with great catches and the Chiefs fans don't berate or blame everything on their QB.
