I started to have hope for Dak

SHilling for Jerry and his mess is what looks silly boy.
Jerry is a clown. I had the Cowboys losing against the Niners. If you had the Cowboys winning, thats on you. And certainly when Pollard went down it was definitely over. The shock to me is baffling. Are you shocked?

If not for the QB we would have won that game ........ you disagree?

Dak had a horrible game. But we could have had a QB who had a worse game as much as one who had a better game.

It’s all subjective . Trying to speculate on the unknowns serves little purpose to me.

But I agree with @CowboyRoy . I didn’t expect us to win. Dak usually struggles against top defenses. Actually I was surprised we stayed within one score as poorly as we played offensively.

I think the two best teams are playing for the NFC championship. And finishing 3rd in NFC isn’t too bad . Some progress from last year and something to build on.

How did Aikman do his first 2 years and last 4 career years when he didn't have weapons around him and a good Oline in front of him? Why didn't Aikman with his talent carry the team or make players around him better during those years?

The same goes for Romo.

Even they needed good weapons, a good Oline and good coaches/playcalling to help them win.
So now the #1 offense you use to defend Dak is coached by idiot with talentless players at most positions. As for Aikman he wasn’t playing on good teams like Dak, hell Aikman could of put pads on Sunday and play better because he’s not a choker

I like a lot of things about him. But there was always something about him, that didn’t make me believe. Most likely another season with him as our QB. Here we go again.

Ya they all ignored it.

It made Dak's performance look amazing on Sunday.

And I'm not bagging on Aikman...it happens to the best of them

Everyone should go look at all of Brady's playoff clunkers...he had some doozies.
3 SB and you are calling him out as some kind of jag. Comparing Dak to Brady, Aikman just shows how totally clueless you and your buddy are. Dak just passed Tim Tebow for playoff wins there’s the type of comparison that fits Dak.

I really struck a nerve there huh?

Glad you missed the point.

Go look at the thread (Total EPA on Targets) I created. The chart shows how much this Offense over-achieved but needs more/better weapons if it hopes to advance further in 2023.

I was indifferent on Dak. I wasn't a Dak apologist, but I also wasn't a "hater". I just gave him the benefit of the doubt for a long time, because the guy CAN play really well, but he just cannot find consistency. This last game was my "stick a fork in me, I'm done" moment.

The first int was "oof" for me, but I gave him a chance to settle in. That 2nd int before half is what did it for me. That took all the air left I had for him out of the sails. I think for the team that day too.

I truly believe Cowboys could have beat the Niners with good QB play, but noooooooo, bad Dak had to show up.
I think there are a lot of Dallas fans just like you. I was a little more positive toward Dak, especially after he played so well, vs a pretty good TB defense that also plays zone. Dak literally threw the game away with his 2 picks, but he had a chance to redeem himself in the last 4 minutes. Gallop was open by 3 yards on the long pass, and Dak threw a terrible pass, that Gallop had very little chance to catch.

Like you, I am done with Dak.

Also, I think the players are even sick of his press conferences. NO one wants to hear you say. “It’s my fault, I will do better next game, season, career”.

I wouldn’t say Aikman failed miserably. We did make the playoffs his two final full seasons in 1998 and 1999.

And his second season we were headed to playoffs until he was knocked out for season. And still almost got in at 7-9 in 1990. The Saints had to win on final game of season on MNF to finish 8-8 knocking us out.

1990 was the year Jimmy was named Coach of the Year for one of the greatest turn arounds in NFL history.

The only really bad seasons for Cowboys with Troy his first in 1989 and Switzer last in 1997.
Thanks for the truth and telling it like it is. The reply if any will be priceless

No just needed to correct your faulty premise. Take off the homer glasses and look at the body of work, it’s so simple Dak just falls apart in big games against good teams, just the way it is to anyone who looks with out bias

I think at this point he just wants to argue for the sake of arguing. I mean, just examine his train of responses.
