And his second season we were headed to playoffs until he was knocked out for season. And still almost got in at 7-9 in 1990. The Saints had to win on final game of season on MNF to finish 8-8 knocking us out.
That was the Babe Laufenberg 0-2. Jimmy took care of the backup QB the next year with Beuerlein.

Also, a buddy of mine was a Rams fan and personally apologized to me for the Rams losing that game to the Saints, lol.

Dak has disappointed me for the last time.

For now on I will expect him to fail.

Posters can roll their eyes all they want, along with you calling me an idiot, but you're the one who won't answer why Aikman (with all of his God given passing talent) failed miserably his first 2 and last 4 years of his career.
It’s literally spelled out in another post. Aikman literally had one of the worst teams in NFL history his first 2 years and still showed growth. His last years were filled with injuries and them losing talent. He still won 3 SBs in between and somehow made the HOF. He was still considered an accurate QB who could read Ds. He lost his line and the team aged. Dak has been loaded every year. He’s had top Olines from Day 1. He stepped into it. He’s had top WRs and RBs. Last year he was loaded and still couldn’t find Cooper and still wet the bed from Weeks 10 on. This year he had a 2nd team All Pro WR and a top RB. He had the same TE that excelled the year before and was gifted a top new Olineman. But he still led the league in Ints in only 12 games. Your revisionist history that Daks had no talent is plain dumb. Seriously it’s just another excuse because you have zero sense. Stop embarrassing yourself in these threads. Go to timeout and take the off-season off. You and Tad can go on a cruise. The stuff you throw out is silly. I’m done wasting my time on someone who has no coherent or objective thought patterns. Go make excuses about life

Eli finished his career in top 10 in TD’s and yards in NFL history. Historically we could present an argument he was more than average .

And we could also argue he performed and produced when on the biggest stages winning MVP in both of his Super Bowls.

He was on an average team most of his career and still produced such NFL stats. While he often looked average especially in games against us his career stats and results would beg to differ.
mostly compiled stats as he had a long and abnormally injury free career.

After Tampa, I thought “hey he might just pull an Eli Manning”

I don’t remember Eli having big names the super bowls he won, and we had a few.

To me Eli was very average and he still managed to step up.

Dak just can’t do it. He’s just not that guy

I just hope Jerry does not look at the money and continue to ride this guy. We need to look at the draft, FA ect

Because the way our D played any other QB comes away with points. Even if it’s just 3
Eli was a dumb QB who had some natural talent which allowed him to make some runs in the playoffs. Dak is a dumb QB that does not have much natural talent for the position.

I wouldn’t say Aikman failed miserably. We did make the playoffs his two final full seasons in 1998 and 1999.

And his second season we were headed to playoffs until he was knocked out for season. And still almost got in at 7-9 in 1990. The Saints had to win on final game of season on MNF to finish 8-8 knocking us out.

1990 was the year Jimmy was named Coach of the Year for one of the greatest turn arounds in NFL history.

The only really bad seasons for Cowboys with Troy his first in 1989 and Switzer last in 1997.
Agreed. I was referring to his production (or lack of it) during those years. Totally different than when surrounded with the best talent at every position.

(In bold)^^^^

Exactly my point concerning Dak. What works (fits) for Aikman should work (fit) for Dak.

Quit being a hypocrite. You look foolish, hypocritical and biased.

Not me. I told everyone at work Dak is going to throw at least 2 INT's. He cannot play consistently anymore.

everybody has a different point as to when they give up on a quarterback. They lock on to one and begin blaming everyone around that quarterback to justify their loyalty to them

i hung on to hope for Romo way too long and I won’t make that mistake again. This time, with eyes wide open, I recognized that same ability to choke toward earlier on Rayne Dakota and he’s fulfilled that prophecy in spades.

just takes people different lengths of time till they recognize a loser.

Edit….but more power to those that want to see things differently and hang onto hope with Prescotta

The exact moment Romo lost me was the "If the worst thing that happens to me..." speech. I knew right then and there that it was over.

These Dak detractors don't want to compare or talk about that. It destroys their narrative. They just want Dak out at all costs.
Just like you Dak fanboys cannot face the reality that Dak is not and never will be elite

He had a find D most of his career and an excellent coach. He was also tough and remarkably injury free

Of course he was going to compile stats.

tell me oh great defender of Eli
Was he EVER top 5 in any year?

Was he ever even top TEN in any year in passing?

He won the first MVP because of the Helmet play; his stats were not all that
His second MVP was more of a case that the QB will get the benefit of the doubt in most SB MVP votes

Dak was complete garbage Sunday. Even worse than he was in last years playoff loss. To get the ball back with 3:00 left and not gain a single yard is ridiculous. He tried to throw a pick 6 but it was dropped.

I saw highlights from the end of last year's game. We got the ball back with 2:45 left and all three timeouts, down by 6. Bosa and fred warner were both out with injuries. Big play to Shultz to get us past the 50. Then 2 incompletions and a loss of one. Protection was pretty good. On 4th and 11, the niners brought the blitz. Dak was under heavy pressure and rolled out, throwing down to about the 10. The throw was a little off, but he was backing up and under heavy pressure. If c. Wilson doesn't stumble, he easily catches the ball. But it was thrown to the wrong shoulder and he stumbled adjusting to it.

Not a great throw, but still not bad considering the situation.

As bad as we played last year, we still were in a better situation to win at the end than this previous game. That's how bad Dak was Sunday. We had an amazing defensive effort but Dak was so bad we didn't even come close in the end.

Lies. You've been here defending Romo against me all of these years up till today.

Dak seems to feast on the buffet table of a 32 team league but when Sharks are on the menu it seems to give him indigestion . I’m reminded of opening night against TB . 3 points against a rested heathy team . Last yr against SF this yr against SF .

To win a SB not just make the playoffs and knock off a WC you have to get past the best . I’m losing hope in this current set up , scheme personnel coaches. Ownership huge issue .

Problem is Prescott has a large body of work and we aren’t guessing anymore about him not being a championship caliber player.

You can’t complain about the supporting cast when you pay a guy like you paid him. He is paid to overcome and carry and he can’t do it. He has to go ASAP.
disagree, moving on..
