Cowboys could lose 2 out of the next 3, or win all 3. It makes no difference. They are going to be playing the winner of Tampa's division. The Egirls are not going to lose two games.

Typical Cowboy luck is winning in Philly in 2 weeks and then getting beat in Philly in the playoffs.
Someone may have posted this already, but in two weeks it's at AT&T.

No more losses.

This team needs to learn how to win and get in the habit of winning more than they need to learn the habit of losing.

Texans game was actually a nice test of the team's resilliancy. Sure, it was the worst team in the league. But that wasn't who showed up to pkay the Cowboys on Sunday.

I said the Texans would likely be the biggest "trap" game of the season because Houston has one element to their legacy and identity, and that's hating the Dallas Cowboys.

There is no other reason to be a Texans fan unless you were a die hard Oilers fan. Or you like football but hate the Cowboys...

That's all they have: they're not the Cowboys.

Nah i think it sends the same message, behind closed doors in those meeting rooms they are being shown all those mistakes and the bad headlines. the media has destroyed them all week.

The media is disengenuous click bait analysises though. Lots of fluff in sports media nowadays.

Yeah they are.. but their pass defense is terrible. If Dak and Co. can't get off against this bunch they're not going to get off against anybody.
Really fries my bacon that KM keeps coming up with garbage game plans. Should have gone with the run game as a priority and play action. Zeke up the middle in a stacked box was ludicrous as well.

So long as it's not to the Eagles..

I still maintain that this team lacks the emotional maturity to go into the playoffs on an 8 game win streak. I'd much rather they drop one somewhere along the way to help them refocus. And perhaps more importantly to get the media off their nuts.
How’s Brady feeling right now?

How about save the good stuff for the Eagles?
Hope so. Outside chance that they were playing a tuneup game with some of the backups to see what they bring. Who knows, just seemed like a sloppy game all around.

I just can't get behind this. Yes, we squeaked out a win but it was a win. This team has shown the ability to play good ball. Hopefully, the injury bug won't be too much to overcome and they will start playing better ball down the stretch.

I just don't get how a loss will help the team in the end. Maybe they have read their own press clippings but they had a scare that may have changed their minds about how good they will really are. That should be more than enough motivation to get their stuff together.

Seriously, after this last game I don't see the Boys winning another game in the regular season and as for the playoffs, it's ONE and DONE 2.0!!!! Dak Prescot is a less than mediocre QB who doesn't have a clue about how to fix or make adjustments in his game. HE'S TRULY BROKEN!!!!!!!!! Maybe Santa can send us another QB who has skills to carry America's team!

I believe winning ugly is close to a loss, wake up call.. that whats great about Sunday..you win but also take hard lessons from it. worst thing was that 33 point qtr with Indy.
It depends on coaching. If the coach concentrates on the team being “resilient”, “stepping up”, “making the plays when they had to”, an ugly win is just that. But if the coach preaches they were lucky to win, the mistakes were unacceptable, that kind of play will have you sitting at home early in the postseason, an ugly win will be a wakeup call. Parcells and Jimmy would take the later approach. Not so sure about Big Mike, but my money is on the former.

Yeah I guess the main thing is we don't know how McCarthy handles the mentals of this team. My original musing was probably more predicated on the Garrett years than anything. McCarthy may know just fine how to keep them focused and winning and I may be worrying about nothin. I do still believe the #1 guy who CAN'T allow himself to get complacent or comfortable is Dak. If the offense sputters out of the gate he absolutely has to take matters into his own hands. Get out of the pocket.. create down field opportunities or take off and run if the defense drops too deep. Lower the shoulder on a DB or two.. Get his teammates fired up and break them out of any sleepwalking they may be doing. It's always been a huge feature of his game when he's playing will. He dusted it off on the 98 yard drive Sunday.. He just needs to remember to use it early if the team isn't playing with the requisite intensity.

you only need to be punched in the gut one time to refocus you

if they need one more loss then this team isnt going anywhere

Green Bay was the gut punch we dont need another

Why can’t the Houston near loss be the gut punch?
