If Amari goes off and CeeDee doesn’t have a great game, it should lead to some very interesting and heated discussions.

....he could have stayed with restructured contract. Wanted full ride instead.

Big Jerry No, No was signing Gallup.

1000% correct........Coop wore out his welcome with coaches and more importantly Jerry and Stephen. He was a classic example of a player knowing the leverage his contract had. In other words, he knew he could practice when he wanted and/or refuse to do charity work, which wasn't a darn thing they could do. Read several nuggets he was his own man. Except for his WR teammates, he was a loner. Many fans don't realize by the end of his last season as a Cowboy he was done. Jerry and Stephen had decided that there was no way he was returning, even with a paycut. The plan was to release him before the 5th day of the league new year when his $20M would become guaranteed but the Browns called with a draft pick.

I know some have said if they had waited closer to the draft they could have gotten more and that is probably true but by then the guaranteed part of his salary would already kick in. Meaning Coop would have had all the leverage. They would have limited their options to .......( remember now his $20 salary is now guaranteed) keeping him, trading him under his terms or releasing him if they couldn't find a trade partner.
I can't speak to his practice habits or volunteer work. Far as I ever saw Coop put in as much effort as anyone.

I know they got butt hurt he wouldn't take the jab, and it costs him more time out to clear the protocol.

Turns out they were dead wrong, big suprise.

I recognize Cooper's talent. He's one of the best route runners I've EVER seen...and I've seen a bunch.

Coop's problem is that he has no heart. He can run routes against scrubs but when top physical corners get on him...they punk him.

Amari quit against Gilmore..basically sealed defensive player of the year. Garrett pulled Cooper several times towards the end of games because he didn't like the effort he was getting.

Most importantly, Cooper cost $20mm/year (at the time)...you couldn't have paid Dak the last contract and pay him and CeeDee. So it was never gonna happen.

And the issue is that in big games, Cooper has the mentality of a #2 when you need him to be in a dogfight. I understand why some miss him, but the Raiders don't and I don't either.

Yes amari will probably want to have a great game and with them being down the starting RB I expect them to air it out more than run. Dallas also has some issues at CB, diggs couldn't participate in training camp coming off a leg injury, bland is out so a rookie will start or at least be the #3, Lewis is an average slot CB. The boys better have a good plan on containing amari or things will get ugly quick.

Trade an old guy to a contender for a younger guy.
Classy move attempt by Cleveland.
At least they asked for more than a 5th round pick.
Not likecthey were trying to dump him for nothing.

Same as Dez, TO and every other top WR who ever played. Good grief. They call WRs divas for this very reason.
TO was always great on the field. The problem was his antics off the field that eventually blew up locker rooms. However on the field no one doubted him.

Well, yes.
How many #1s get only 4 targets in a game?
Lamb gets that in one drive.
I could care less who gets the ball as long as they catch it and do something with it. I liked Amari but Jerry did not apparently. So we moved on.

The article says Amari was all for the trade.
I bet there's a few Cowboys that wouldn't mind being
traded to SF since they've lost to them 4 times in 3 years.

It's odd what's classified as "owned".
I asked for a source. You gave it.

Please tell me you didn't buy into the whole $20M was too much for the WR, lol, really dumb after seeing what Lamb received.
Lol, so you actually believe it happened. Cmon man, in a crowded post game locker room, in the era of cellphones and cameras, with a whole team of witnesses. Yet no one ever came forward...

Just make an attempt to use any critical thinking skills whatsoever, and don't just go off emotion and agenda. It's so dumb.
