Not sure I agree with you about Moore. As OC you make the call but you need QB to execute. Dak didn't execute yesterday. Bad throw to an open Gallop. Two bad INTs but probably should have been 4 as he forced throws or bad reads. The Prescott-Moore combo needs to be dissolved with haste. We've seen enough. They have hit the wall with this combo at present. I can agree on RB/o-line. The thing is...sooner or later you meet a defense that stifles the run and then you are left with the same problems that the running game kept under wraps. An inconsistent quarterback.
Yes because dak should be able to beat the 49ers by himself with only Kellen's mega brain. They will load up on offensive skill talent. Jerry and his son saw how ineffective Dak was at times so they know they have to give him a ton of weapons to hopefully improve his play and justify the massive contract/cap hit he has.
Schultz will probably be too expensive but I suspect Pollard is now a very realistic candidate to be back, not on a tag, but a regular contract given his injury. Lamb and Gallup are back for sure given Lamb is a stud and Gallup just got paid. But I suspect you could see them using a first or 2nd round pick on a WR in the draft. Maybe a TE if someone like Mayer falls to them.
Interesting offseason for sure. I think they could use more help on defense but Dak's issues last night likely means the Jones' are going to be hyperfocused on giving him enough weapons to help him become more consistent.
We did fine drafting Zeke even though I was against it. The mistake isn't drafting Zeke..... it was extending his contract. You are just compounding the problem throwing money and a high pick at a TB. Did we learn nothing from Zeke?
If you have to use a first round pick on a TB, then that tells you a crap ton about your QB.
They were WR hunting within the season, think they would like to add a legitimate starter at the position, may even be more of a veteran not a draft pick. I believe Pollard will be back, but I wouldn't close the door on Shultz just yet. As for the defense, it's about retaining a few veterans and shoring up both DT and Corner. Those I believe the top 3 priority needs. They will load up on offensive skill talent. Jerry and his son saw how ineffective Dak was at times so they know they have to give him a ton of weapons to hopefully improve his play and justify the massive contract/cap hit he has.

Dak only qb in the league not allowed to have weapons.
Going to be a long off season.
The injury to Pollard was cheap, and nobody in the media is talking about it. I don't care that we lost, anymore. But that injury on Pollard needs to be discussed. We've seen dirty players in the NFL get barred for multiple intentional injuries...san fran should be watched. They will load up on offensive skill talent. Jerry and his son saw how ineffective Dak was at times so they know they have to give him a ton of weapons to hopefully improve his play and justify the massive contract/cap hit he has.

Schultz can get the heck out of town today for all I care. Him not getting both feet in on a routine catch has to go down as one of the dumbest plays a player has made in the playoffs. Ever. They were WR hunting within the season, think they would like to add a legitimate starter at the position, may even be more of a veteran not a draft pick. Better start at QB or nothing will ever change.I suspect they will load up on offensive skill talent this offseason
There was enough from Dak last night that have zero to do with who his weapons were. Was it the lack of weapons that had him force a ball into double coverage before the end of the half? Nope. That was all on him and he stared down the WR (I believe it was Lamb).Yes because dak should be able to beat the 49ers by himself with only Kellen's mega brain.

Would of made no difference. He had a good season.Schultz can get the heck out of town today for all I care. Him not getting both feet in on a routine catch has to go down as one of the dumbest plays a player has made in the playoffs. Ever.
Who did I list that isn't a good player? Feels like you have unrealistic expectations. Not all 2nd round picks are going to be all pro guys, even some listed I'm glad the Cowboys moved on from. I mean Randy Gregory wasn't worth the money he got, but between what he gave the Cowboys and the comp pick they'll get for him he was worth the pick. You have to keep in perspective that drafting is a very low percentage gamble to being with. I need to get some updated data, but I know just a few years ago the numbers were showing about 60% of 2nd round picks were out of the league before their rookie deals were finished. Since 2014 every single Cowboys 2nd round pick is still on an NFL roster. The Bruce Carter/Gavin Escobar days seem to be in the rear view mirror.Your definition of very good players is VERY LOW
I agree that was a dumb move. BUT I don't think Cooper wins the game for us. 49er game was too "fast" for Dak. He was rushing through progressions and throwing too late. He the type of QB who needs to see the guy "open" before delivering the ball instead of "throwing" the guy open. Dak can get away facing "regular season defenses" but much harder in the playoffs.
We needed a dominating Running Game for Dak to succeed. Our chances went down the tube after Pollard went down.
Lamb is good after the catch. It was one of his strengths coming out of college. To say he can't turn a 3 yard pass into a long play is just inaccurate. And that it true of Dak. But the Cowboys have zero personnel to back any safeties or defenders off the line and the boys are worst in the league at yards after a catch. Amari has the ability to open up the field, like Cd he can play from any spot but unlike any Cowboys player Cooper can get yards after a catch. Not trying to knock CD at all but he's not the guy who can turn a 3 yard catch into a 60 yard Td. Gallup unable to catch deep passes like he used too took away the deeper part of the field which helps defenses keep things in front of them. Cooper still needs someone to get him the ball but they are so much better with him than without.
