His numbers aren't that different from Murrays. And Murray is three years younger.
Because he said all that doesn't mean he's going to be cheap.

You say it's dead but he'll still demand more than Murray does most likely. At the very least as much as Murray demands. If you want to choose between Murray and Peterson and they are around the same price I choose Murray 10 out of 10 times right now. I don't see a former League MVP coming cheap.

But I don't have to put either one down to build up the other. I will take either one if the price is right.

If some team scoops both of them up then it's Plan C. Maybe Ingram or Rice or some other vet and draft a rookie mid round

I'm not trying to put him down. I just think he's being over hyped,(not by you) he's older and through his career not much different than what we have,
Obviously money is the issue but I would rather go younger if we have to let Murray walk.
There's really only been a few RBs in the history of the Cowboys I didn't see expendable,

That was still a fluke play by Peppers.

The run by Murray down to the 1 later in the quarter was a thing of beauty.

Murray is a great back, he just might cost too much to keep.
