Brown, Mara, Davis, Kraft, Bidwell, Rooney and Jones family lineage will continue to own and operate their teams as long as the NFL lasts. It's guaranteed jobs for all family members.

The only hope Cowboys fans have is that some Jones doesn't want to be a celebrity as they take over.

Death, Taxes and Jones and I don't know which is worse.

So...there have been a lot of dumb threads on cowboyszone over the years. And this may be more frustration speaking as opposed to intelligence, but if this was an honest take, then this is by far the dumbest thread ever posted here.

He's made a fortune with the team, and now he's running them into the ground.
I have thought for a while that the only way the Cowboys could recover is for Jerry to sell or for Stephen to sell when Jerry passes away.
I think we're at a point of no return for Jerry. He knows he can't get back what he once had, and the situation inside the team is grim. Poor morale, poor philosophy, and every step Jerry takes is further from the top.
With the current situation in the United States and the NFL, it would be crazy not to sell to someone who has a fresh perspective and believes in the value of the Cowboys.
Jerry is getting older, and I believe he is simply growing weary of being humiliated by the team every time they go onto the field. It used to be that each time they looked as if they were ready to once again compete, they would go on national television and be embarassed.
Now they are just embarrassing every week.
Jerry will go down w/ the ship, all the while insisting that we are contenders. That's what he does.

Whenever the team falls apart, Jerry is always completely taken by surprise, and is always wildly confused as to why. Never in the history of the NFL has there been a GM w/ less NFL football knowledge. With lesser ability to analyze/evaluate players/team. W/ less understanding of what makes a team. He simply does not remotely understand, and has gone out of his way to prove it.

Owning the Cowboys is like owning a us mint. It prints money. The Jones family is set for life. And for generations to come. The only way the Jones family would sell is if they were forced to due to some embarrassing situation.
Yeah, it's like the mint is printing money that is all blurred, but the money still spends.

I think Barcelona, Real Madrid, Man U and Manchester City may have something to say about that but the Cowboys are up there. I don’t remember the order the last time I saw that list.

It's been Cowboys for years. I was surprised that they could beat the soccer teams, but they have, and for a while.

Looks like Jerry took over in 2016.

2015 just slightly behind Manchester United, about the same as a the Yankees.

2014 - 3 Soccer teams at the top.

With all due respect to European Soccer - the leagues based in Great Britain and on the main continent ....and acknowledging the history-fervor-adulation-of Fotbol in Central & South America, Africa, Asia...
the gridiron sport in North America - the US & Canada - has proven it is a premier sport worldwide in terms of history, icons, legacy, imprint on society.

I'm going with the Forbes valuation which is actually 5.5 Billion.
Understood but why would anyone sell at a certain 'appraisal' price if it is likely the product or service will fetch a higher price?
