I think he's back next year. Despite the breakdowns ,despite all the points conceded,

Don' know who the HC will be (it won't be Belichick) so whoever it is will be 'asked' to work with Mike.

If MM doesn’t come back none of them will .

There are enough games left to play, for the FO to decide if Zimmer deserves to return as this team's DC. His future is yet to be determined.
The Giants have seen the real problem being measured by the two teamsl

Here it is unearthed...

MALIK NABERS has labelled his New York Giants teammates as "soft as f***," following another loss on Sunday.

The Giants fell to a 30-7 defeat at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, making their record for the season 2-9.

I like Zimmer and believe his scheme would work if he had enough talented players that can maintain their assignments.
You could be right. A lot of guys this defense was counting on (Lawrence, Sam Williams, DaRon Bland, Diggs, Kneeland) have missed a ton of time. Also the Cowboys' neglect at the DT position has yielded predictable results.

Give this team better defensive tackles, another pass rusher outside of Parsons, and healthy corners and Zimmer's scheme could work. I just don't see him coming back under a new head coach in 2025.

His only hope is a ridiculous stretch run that finds ownership reluctant to part ways with McCarthy citing that MM never lost the team even in the worst of circumstances. And that’s one heck of a longshot. A new HC will probably want to clean house.

Zimmer is on the same tier coordinator as Quinn but don't waste your time debating people that think Quinn created legion of boom. Waste of time

Zimmer will not be back. He will get a hc job if defense improve enough and will be let go if it doesn’t.

Let’s see, the only way you can lose against Washington at the end is let’s guess: A. The run or B. The pass, so what happens. C. An 80 plus yards pass play for an TD to pull within 1. No not a great game by any means. Pass on him coming back. Next DC with the new coach.
