I think the Justin Durant talks didn't go as planned

Hitchens will end up the starter..you watch.

Lee goes to Strong side LBer..

Hitchens to the middle and Rivers backs up.

Durant is allowed to go as is McLain.

We draft somebody in the mid-rounds and move on.

I see both mcclain and Durant signing back.

The hang up over Durant could be anything, years or money, or whether he will have to compete with Hitchens.

With enough improvements on the defensive line and in the secondary that's good enough of a linebacker group as any one else in the league.

So we are going to use a rookie in the playmaking LB position in this defense. I can see Lee sliding to Will, Hitchens to the Sam, and I actually believe McClain will be back as the MLB

If Mclain has to serve his 4 game suspension..

does that mean he can go to training camp and participate until the season starts?

If so..then maybe he will play too.

But if he is gone and not ready to play until after mid-season because of the suspension and lack of conditioning

I'm not sure the Cowboys want to commit to that..you think?

I liked Mclain when he first played but as the year went on..

his injuries were an issue.

Can we really depend on him?

I say..no.

Rolando is facing a 4 game fine not suspension for missing a test.

If he misses another test or violates the program he will be suspended.

I wasn't impressed with Durant on the strong side his first year. I don't think he could beat out Hitchens there. He was a much better fit at the will.
