I think this staff has gotten through to Jerry Jones

Don't get confused thinking people are only coming back for the Cowboys. I've been extremely fed up with the franchise for several years, but I like watching the sport. Well, at least I liked watching the sport more when it was more competition based rather than entertainment based like the fake wrestling.
Cool...so where does the Cowboyszone.com stack up against the other 31 forums?

Those that get fooled usually don't realize they're being fooled.....
Probably some but not as many as you think.
Most just don’t pay attention. They wait for the games to start. So are they fooled, or just, some things does not matter to them, or bother them as much.

Which that pertains to fans outside of this forum. And to some that members.

For we members here, we do pay attention, as we post year round. Then agree, disagree and argue over it all. No one is really fooled. Just some will stick to there ways regardless of truth or opinions.

I just want to see some effort from the FO for once on real improvements in the off season.

This is the only place I come. That's not to say I haven't visited other teams sites in the past, because I have. But I can say without question that CZ by far is busier and seems to have a larger number of members. Just look to the right side of your screen right now - Of the 3,417 people viewing the site right now there are 190 members and 3,227 guests. I can't think of another fan site with this amount of traffic - in the offseason, no less.

Yeah, they do a great job with this sight....even the mod that benches me for breathing, does a good job.

Fools don't realize they're fools either. What's better, being fooled into having positive and fun times supporting your team, or being a negative vibe spreading fool? Food for thought.....maybe a bit foolish. Lol

Ask the Vice if he wants to disown Nato and own the Cowboys.

Yes, I said gotten…

We’re talking about trading up in the draft and that has been documented by good sources.

We’re talking about treating Micah Parsons - a complete loudmouth and off the field distraction let’s hope it happens

We’re talking about taking a quarterback we went public with it to the how fantastic is that we’ve all been screaming for it and now it could very well happen.
I like Howard from Ohio State - I like Ewers pedigree- whoever just make it happen.

The head coach and the new offensive coordinator both went public and talked about our lack of physicality in the trenches and how that’s gonna be the first thing that changes we’re looking to become a mean football team.

We haven’t been mean since Mark Tuinei and Erik Williams were here.

I’m not really crazy about the defensive coordinator, but hopefully he redeems himself.

I like our direction I really do and this coach is not here for a year until Deion Sanders or someone else wants a job no way Jerry gave this guy a four year deal to sit out for three years and collect checks.

He’s gonna get a legit chance.

The only thing I can go by Schottenheimeris, I watched him take Mark Sanchez in the New York Jets to the AFC title game which they should’ve won.
That was a hell of a football team and a hell of an offense great running game offensive line.

I hope we replicate that offense.

  • In 2009, the Jets led the NFL with 172.3 rushing yards per game

They are TALKING plenty. That's nothing new. Let's see what actual actions happen before making a decision. It still seems to me they will drag out negotiations on their own and spend minmal outside. Hope I'm wrong.

Talk is cheap, there’s 29 years of actions, or lack thereof, that say you are wrong. I prefer to see what happens first before I come to any conclusions.

I don't think the staff has gotten to Jerry Jones. I think the fans and media has gotten to Jerry Jones.

It has reached a point where he is confronted almost daily with his 30-year record of failure, and he can't handle the heat.

Let's see!

That'll be great, not there right now, but it keeps us all coming back.
I can only speak for myself and some old Cowboys diehards like myself I’ve known for years.First of all the Cowboys are our local team. We’d root them on if they had suked for 60+ years.

But we were very fortunate for much of the first 4 decades. We probably became spoiled and accustomed to that level of success and class of an organization.

While we knew the tide would probably turn one day and we can handle downturns and suking like anyone else it’s become more frustrating because of one constant. We can fire coaches , rosters keep changing but being stuck with one constant at top has challenged everyone’s patience which I’d argue justifies the criticism and frustration.

Afterall as fans we are patrons of the business which is Dallas Cowboys . And as paying customers we are obliged the liberty of speaking our minds like we would for any business we invest our time or money with.

As always all fans or patrons aren’t going to see things the same . And aren’t going to conduct themselves in same manner. But some want to provide any critique which they feel could propel us in a better direction regardless if it has any impact or is even responsible dialogue or expertise .

It’s only natural for fans to want to have hope and at least a glimmer of hope it can turn even if for an abbreviated time. Everyone approaches their fandom in different expressions. It doesn’t make them any less a fan. And this forum provides that platform to vent their concerns and issues which we should expect with the type of era we have had.

That said there’s always room for a more upbeat stance. If they believe there’s more brightness than we see they are afforded the same platform to express as such which can spur arguments for both. Where it derails is when we become frustrated with discussion and begin attempting to discredit fans personally as last resort to defuse their stance.

Hater can be Homers. And Homers can be Haters. Depending on the subject. I consider myself a Cowboys homer. I root them on regardless. But I’m also a hardened critic. And definitely a Jethro hater. It’s how the Cowboys are still Dallas favorite sports franchise but Jethro is most hated Dallas sports personality. We can walk and chew gum at the same time.

I used to be a hater of sorts, never threatened to leave, but I'd have my say....and then, it dawned on me, my say won't make a difference, unless I chose to leave my fanhood. So, now...I mostly, throw the hate in the trash, 99.9% homer, minion, boot licker etc...no one ever sticks up for me when the sewer rats attack me, so I toom the gloves off and call it as.i see it
Some agree, most don't....I really don't give a sewer rat's donkey

I agree with a lot of your points! I’ll add that as hard as it is to digest, having Zac Martin & possibly D-Law hang it up will help this team almost immediately! Martin was a shell of himself last season and at his age he’s not going to get better. He was actually a deficit on the O-Line which is not how he should be remembered!
D-Law WHEN healthy is still one heckuva force, but the key word is “when”. I’m from Boise & pull for him as much as anyone but if he can’t stay on the field with his salary it’s time to cut bait!
With this said, the Cap savings will be a welcome add!

And I’m giving you a slight bit of hope.

I don’t fully believe it myself, but there are signs that things are changing.

And of course it comes down to actions

Has Jerry been changed? Was this all it took was for Brian Schottenhimer to come in with some new coaches and instill a culture change in Jerry Jones? I may be getting way ahead of myself, but so far so good. Please give your thoughts
