1. Purdy is a rookie
2. SF had a weak schedule
3. It’s San Fran who will be eating the cheese
4. If our defense plays 80 percent as well as it did this past Monday it will be a long day for Purdy.
5. If we get off to a slow start we can overcome it a little. If San Fran gets behind this game it’s going to get ugly for them.
6. The layoff might not work well for SF.
7. Dallas is a hungry team and smells blood in the water.
8. I think MM is calling the big picture shots and that’s a good thing.
9. Tyson Smith and the OL and the defense will be the difference this game.

I can appreciate the original post, but SF is in no-way-shape-or-form the Bucs. They are a team that can spread you out and get vertical; or they can ground you down with the run game. Good OL and a smart, albeit rookie QB who is not asked to do anything but distribute the ball. The defense is solid, fast and physical and can pressure the QB without blitzing. And lastly, they are a disciplined, well-coached team with a great scheme on both sides of the ball.

I really have no idea which Dallas team will show-up. I thought Tampa Bay went down with a whimper…they threw the ball over 60 times and were one-dimensional almost from the start of the game; any defense looks good against that.

Dallas must stop the run, which they have been unable to do the entire season. Dallas also needs to have a productive run game; if SF shuts down the run game Dak starts pressing in the pass game and well, we know how that turns out. Dallas has to play a smash-mouth, physical and disciplined football game, but I don’t think it’s within them.
