we’ll be ok. Not a real contender. 8-9 win team. Come out thursday and shock the world and I’ll change my mind.
 
We say this every offseason…
However Ceedee is gonna be a star as is Parsons so there is some reason for excitement.
I think we will be much better but I think it’ll be mid season before we start to gel.

Then you probably wont change your mind after just one game vs the SB champs that get to play vs a rusty Dak with no preseason live time.
Its an extra long season, so feel free to jump back on board when this offense starts getting its timing down, and this very young defense begins to discover how good they can be.

Yeah I was gonna say win or loss people probably shouldn't put much stock into that game. If you think they are a 8-9 win team then if they beat the Buccs nothing should change that.
 
Jerry Jones won’t do good till he corrects the mistake he made with Jimmy.
Karma is king. ROH and GM role for Jimmy or he can die a loser.

Truth.
I hope for the win but expect the loss, and that doesnt make anyone a lesser fan, just a realistic fan that understands how this game is played.
The strong survive, and the teams that can start firing it up when it matter the most, at the right time, are always your true contenders.
The game hasnt changed to the point yet that if you lose game 1 the season is over, if anything with the expanded season you have an extra chance to solidify a post season birth late.

Yeah its a long season. Win or loss this game is just about the NFL coming back for me. And I get the pleasure of seeing my team in it. I just hope its not one of those frustrating losses if it is one. It would be nice for a change in script for once lol.

Pulling the Lombardi out of Jimmys' hands at the podium?
Anyone remembering that moment, was bitter sweet and in my mind was what started the origin of Jimmys departure.

A win would make a huge statement IMO. It would also give them a lot of confidence going forward.

Oh I think it would be great for the Cowboys players. But I'm speaking strictly on fans. If you think they are a 8 win team before the game you should think it afterwards win or loss. At the end of the day its the 1st game of the season. It has no reflection on how this team will do whether it be bad or good. At least I hope not. You want to be peaking upwards in December not in September.....
 
I don't think we are going to know just what they are for a while.

The D is a work in progress for sure and I don't think they are set with all of the starters so I am not judging anything off facing the Bucs and that offense and defense on their field to open the season.

They're going to do some good things and some bad things, can they fix the bad things and make progress? Do they have the talent on defense to fix those things?

I am excited to see this LB corps play for real because after the WR's that might be the best unit on the team. Have some concerns about this OL, age, depth and talent.

And the one thing we have to be on alert for going into this season is health, this is not a deep team.
 
I think the surprise “X-Factor” for this season is the Cowboys Defense. I think it will be much better out of the gate and dominate the competition.

Only way that happens is if Osa is a beast. Otherwise no chance.
 
Tampa is an L so the season starts the next week against a very good Chargers team.
