I trust our defense

Yeah, my whole problem is that I don't trust our D. Largely because it has been playing above its level of talent. At some point you expect a regression to the mean.
After this many games in the season, they have established the mean. If they give up a lot of points now, it would be considered an outlier.

Which corner back goes to the bench, once Mo comes back at full strength?

Yeah, exceeding expectations, while wonderful, is kind of the problem. Expectations are what they are because most recognize that the D is talent-challenged. Who knows? Maybe they will continue to play above their level of talent. I just think it's difficult to trust.
"Talent challenged" is just an opinion. Most would say we were talent challenged at QB when the season first began, too. Sometimes, people just misjudge talent.

I'm not saying they are the Denver Broncos but they keep getting better and better week after week.

We don't give up many big plays and we make teams earn almost every score they get.

Everyone was freaking out that we lost to the Giants but they were ignoring that our defense played really good and that has always been the X-factor for our team.

The pass rush is coming on... We should be getting Claiborne back soon and Randy Gregory could offer something extra to our pass rush.

Also, David Irving and Benson Mayowa are really starting to step up and Sean Lee is playing like 2 guys out there.

My biggest worry about our defense is having them on the field with the game on the line. Well twice last night we had them out there with the game on the line and they held both times.

We are tied for 4th in PPG allowed with 18.4.

I trusted the DBs and Sean Lee from the beginning; I'm trusting the d-line -- lately, someone steps up and makes a play -- more and more since the Baltimore game. I do not, however, trust any LB not named Sean Lee. As a whole, though, they are playing well.

Since taking the lead, Tampa had 5 drives resulting in int, punt, punt, punt, int. We gave up 10 yards in those 5 drives! Mike Evans didn't catch a pass in those 5 drives.

But even if you're a great defense it can be exposed. That's just what great QB's do.

We just watched Rodgers punish Seattle a couple of weeks ago.

Big Ben ripped the Giants apart.

Having a great defense isn't the end all be all.

Broncos won't even make the playoffs this year.

You have to be balanced and hide your weakness because every team has a weakness. Dallas has hid their weakness all year.

And that's fair, I'm just simply saying that I wish we had a few more horses on the defensive end in order to force the issue a bit more, rather than hoping the other team will make a mistake. As long as our offense can find its rhythm again, and it did a good job of starting to get back on track last night, we will be fine.

I wish we did too but we may be getting lucky there.

Mayowa, and Irving are really stepping up, D. Law is going to get some rest, and Gregory & Tapper could offer something as well.

Irving has earned more playing time. Hell, bump Crawford out of the rotation a bit. But yeah I like what Gregory can bring as as situtational rusher, giving us 10-12 snaps a game with his explosiveness. Mo coming back too.

I'd rather bring Collins back than Tapper though. Bring Collins in in place of Looney. That was a nice little bump of positivity.
