Fellow Dallas Cowboys fans;

To all our brethren who are gnashing their teeth because we lost a three point game to a pretty good NY Giants team in the Meadowlands, please take a minute to breathe. Enjoy, don't perseverate on the negative. If we had thought, at the beginning of the season, that our Dallas Cowboys would be 11-2 we would all have been fairly incredulous and giddy. And that is exactly where we are. Let us enjoy the moment. Your Dallas Cowboys won 11 in a row. We had never won 9 in a row in franchise history. What an accomplishment. And with a rookie QB and RB. Wow!!!

Even if we lose in the first round of the playoffs, this has been a very enjoyable season. Please do not mar the season by pointless gnashing of the teeth because our rookie QB threw 2 interceptions in the last game. Jeepers, he is a person, not a robot. And of course we can argue about whether he was responsible for the picks or not.

Shame on Jerry Jones for instigating the current unrest at QB with talk about when Tony gets back onto the field. The man cannot help himself, he is a motor mouth of a marketing approach that cares not how the team is viewed, as long as it is center stage and spoken about. Jerry is an endless stream of consciousness that proves over and over again that he really does not know much about football. He is no Jimmy Johnson, Bill Parcells, Bill Belicheck. He is a loud, crass, classless rich guy.

I wonder what this talent laden team would do with a real coach, gm combination. Imagine, Belicheck instead of Ginger!!

But I am regressing into that pit of what ifs and could have beens. Your Dallas Cowboys have the best record in the NFL. They have an unbelievably young and talented offense. Their D coordinator has done an incredible job of getting more out of less than any coach in recent memory. The defense has played smart, hard nosed, fundamentally sound and passionate football. Kudos to them and especially by boy, Sean Lee a fellow Penn State alum who has been outstanding. It reminds me of a quote attributed to Bear Bryant when speaking of another Cowboys great LB, Leroy Jordan. While he was at Alabama, Bryant said, "if the runner stays between the sidelines, Leroy will get 'em". We can say the same about Lee. He has been everywhere the ball is and he has stopped them cold. 22 tackles last week alone.

Much to be thankful for. Great team, great record, great fun to watch. Cowboys are back in the mix. More than we could have hoped for. Please enjoy the moment. It has been a very long time coming!!

Is this team really that "talent laden" when everyone acknowledges they need a major overhaul on defense?

Seems like the talent is a little overrated. I'd give the coaching staff a lot of credit for getting this very, very flawed team to 11-2.

Why would we expect any coach, including Belichick, to take over this team with a 4th round rookie QB and do any better than that? Because we're so "talent laden"?

I'm kinda of the same mindset as risen on this defense.
Overachieving group that is squeezing every ounce of talent out and laced together by the leadership of Sean lee.
Holding my breathe with each lee tackle that he goes back to the huddle

a "major overhaul on defense" is a bit dramatic unless you expect blue chip players at every position. A few additions to the talent we already have on defense would go a long way. Good thing tho you're not a Browns or Jets fan......you'd be a peach on their fan board! lol

11-2.....you can't take that away from this talent laden squad.

To add to your credibility remind everyone your prediction about the Cowboys before the season.

Go Cowboys!

In 2014 Garrett finished 2nd in head coach of the year.

This year we have the best record in football and he might win it.

You don't accomplish that twice in three years by being a bum.

I'm not a huge Garrett supporter, but at some point you have to give the man his props.

Agree. He's quietly becoming an effective leader who is getting the best out of his coordinators..... Also like he's show faith in the team by going for some 4th downs in situations we would definitely punt from in the past.

Cowboys fans are simply not rationale. It's been this way all season even in the heart of the winning streak. People forget pre-Dak.. this entire board would bash Romo and become critical of his every mistake. Now Dez Sucks, Dak Sucks, Free Sucks... everyone sucks on any particular week of having a sub par outing. If you didn't know any better and just fell from space reading this board, you'd think we were 3-10.

This is all good although I don't think we should be feeling that an 11-2 team has no chance of making any noise in the playoffs..

The Romo Dak debate brought some the most uneducated football idiots I thought didn't exist on this board. Apparently a lot of them think the QB is sole reason for wins and are blind to what the trends, stats and their eyes should be telling them.

Couldn't agree more. I've been saying all season that I'll be happy if this team even makes the playoffs this season (which we obviously currently have a spot clinched), after last season.

Even if we go one and done in the playoffs, I still consider this a great season. We have our future at QB and a great young offense as a whole, the team should only get better on defense, and the window for this team couldn't be more wide open now because of our two rookies.

I feel some folks need to relax and not put all their eggs into this season's basket.

It seems a lot of people are talking like it's this season or bust. I know we've waited a long time but a failed SB season would not be a bust. I'd feel better about this season than I did in 2007. Now that season was a bust.

Agree, even the great 90's teams built their way through the playoff experience... Atlanta, Detroit, losses, and then on to greatness in the following years with some tough foes ( including Giants Emmitt dislocated shoulder game) Eagles 3X in one year...

Yep. It's funny, we have a rookie QB having one of the great rookie seasons ever seen, and after one loss many are already done with him and want Tony back. Tony, the same guy who an ocean of people on this forum wanted benched after every single loss for a DECADE (no matter how good he played). I've never seen a less rational fanbase in my life.

Can you imagine what would have been said of that 1991 team that got blasted by Detroit in the playoffs if the internet was around back them? Nobody knew we were on the verge of something very special.
