He’s a workout warrior he’s gonna get bigger don’t ask him to think too ton much and don’t ask him to turn his hips and run down the sideline chasing jamirr Gibbs .

Play barham like James Harrison and let him develop right in front of the ball.

Maybe this wasn’t worth the thread but I just see him as a total game wrecker I think he can be basically Reuben Bain jr but we got him in the 3rd. Just completely get underneath a tackle or a center and ugly op the pocket and force bad decisions from qbs

This is how you turn into one of those defenses thats just fun and flies around and turns the ball over and you’re excited.

Couldn’t you totally see tons of plays where as cowboys fans we know barham created the turnover but like overshown or downs cleans it up and gets get highlight

Anyways it just seems in football you need a lot of dirty work done. Can’t have digs and parsons types. It’s demoralizing.
But someone like barham who can make you feel like you’re odysseysus? That’s infectious . And I don’t wanna see that guy slipping around on ice skates 30 yards in coverage

Dear Lord the Micah role 2.0!!!

I just don't want him out there making big bang thumping contact movement with blockers only to burn himself out without actually getting to the ball carrier/sacking the QB

Holy over pursuit on Friday.

I’m confident he will get there but it might take a little time. They need to ease him into things IMO.
Yeah, crazy and eerily similar to what was shown out of that linebacker group last year led by Murray and Liufau that clearly lacked any instincts and just over ran every play and had zero sense of maintaining any gap integrity.

But the Zone anoints hall of famers early around here so this ain't a new thing.

Another case in point, Milton defaulted to factory settings as well.

Oh well, same ol' same ol'
Cowboys!

He will be fine in time, but yeah I’m concerned that the game is gonna be a little fast for him when the ones are playing. I’m sure the staff sees this and will bring him along at the correct pace. I finally have some confidence in the staff.

Seems as if he is used to college speed and thinks he can get to a spot to make a play, but the ball carrier is faster than he figured on…and those aren’t even starters.

Hey maybe it was a good thing for Barham to eat a little humble pie considering all the praise he has gotten. Still gotta work your tail off son!

Teams will scheme to test him in all areas
He might as well get acclimated and be a all-around defender

I agree, good Post Barham has looked pretty decent against the short passing game as well however. Barham will be a player for this team, great 3rd round pick for the Cowboys, kid looks great at middle linebacker. 55 is a player it would appear he is a steal where he was drafted.

If you don't want him in coverage then he's basically just an edge.

As far as I know they haven't had him do that at all in camp.
They might just not be showing that on film. One way to make Barham a three down LB is to shift him to edge on passing downs. He showed he can do that at Michigan last year and we know Parker is going to use a ton of different fronts.

That’s how they get him from 40% of the snaps to 50%. It won’t surprise me one bit if they sometimes run with 3 LBs and put a fifth player at the LOS and that would be Barham

Good post, that is how I see Mr. Barham being used as well . Barham may turn out being one of Dallas's better pass rushers when it is all said and done. He could be a Swiss army knife type inside and outside, he has flashed from both positions on his Michigan and Maryland films.

I believe he can do it at a high level if he gets his chance though. This kid is a player inside and outside on film, he's just a good sound and aggressive football player plain and simple. A steal in the 3rd round, could be better than Styles, when it is all said and done.

Maybe what I’m protecting against is hero ball too; like a bunch of young guys trying to make a play but it’s raw and undisciplined and it’ll be easy for experienced offenses to scheme against

I think you’ll put barham in great positions to succeed if he’s mixing it up on passing downs and able to unleash his Adrenaline in that way

Barham looked natural in the middle against Arizona, from his first snap, he can rush the passer as well. But you are right he must play within the system and do his job, that is for sure. Parsons was the hero ball player, and is no longer on the roster because of it. Jaishawn Barham will be a leader on this defense, book it.

He ran down the sideline with a WR in the last preseason game...
