Yards are irrelevant if you're getting turnovers every week. No, our defensive ranking is low because of all of the yards we are giving up.
Do you honestly expect Dak to go toe to toe with Rodgers in Lambeau or Brady on the road while being anchored with a suspect defense? You're asking for heartbreak. The defense needs to improve. It's one thing to have a suspect defense, it is different if that team is scoring 34ppg and leading the league.
That just plays into drama that isn’t necessarily going to help us win.I seem to recall that same feeling about Romo facing Manning.
Prescott will stand taller measuring himself against Brady and Rodgers, I believe that.
We saw on opening night against Tampa that if our defense doesn’t get better we’re not getting past Brady. Tom Brady has our number and so does Aaron Rodgers. Our offense can’t overcome our defense giving up big plays and not being able to make critical stops when the game is on the line. Our defense will be our undoing in the playoffs again unless it improves. Our pass rush has to become more consistent. Both Brady and Rodgers know how to win close games in the fourth quarter.
Turnovers are critical . No doubt. I’m not discounting it. It’s why we are still having success beyond our low rankings on defense.Yards are irrelevant if you're getting turnovers every week.
I was thinking the same thing.... I honestly don't feel like this group of guys care who they play quite honestly which is a great change!Real contenders don't fear anyone.
Apparently CC has an agenda beyond the game itself. It’s only rewarding for him if we and or Dak beat the best in Brady and Rodgers. He’d rather not win it all unless we can beat them along the way. At least that’s how I read it.Do you honestly expect Dak to go toe to toe with Rodgers in Lambeau or Brady on the road while being anchored with a suspect defense? You're asking for heartbreak. I do not enjoy watching easy to win games, that is not why I watch football. That just plays into drama that isn’t necessarily going to help us win.
Who cares if Prescott stands taller unless we win. Which if we do that alone will elevate him amongst these peers.
All you can do is win the games on the schedule. And not rooting against the tougher opponents is beyond anything I’ve heard of before .
Are you also rooting for our divisional foes to win each week so our division will be tougher to win?
I agree that the team and players shouldn’t worry about it. But surely as fans we can?I was thinking the same thing.... I honestly don't feel like this group of guys care who they play quite honestly which is a great change!
But more on what you said, I agree a great team will just knock em down as they come, if they're worried about who their playing
they've lost the battle before it's begun.
You read it very well because that is exactly how I read it, I am no cup hunter.Apparently CC has an agenda beyond the game itself. It’s only rewarding for him if we and or Dak beat the best in Brady and Rodgers. He’d rather not win it all unless we can beat them along the way. At least that’s how I read it.
Yep but it wouldn’t have been less of a championship if we hadn’t. We can’t help if a tougher opponent gets upset or knocked off along the way.I do not enjoy watching easy to win games, that is not why I watch football.
On the road to this SB's in the 90's, I would have been very disappointed if we didn't face the best teams in the NFC and keep us sharp.
The Giants beat the Patriots because of the combination of how they played that last regular season game and as tough a road as any WC SB team ever took to get there. By the time they got to the SB, they had so much confidence, the Pats could not overcome them.
We took that same approach by facing our nemesis at that time, the Niners.
Sure we can, most of those players don;t even know about the Rodgers thing over the Cowboys and don't care, ancient history but I care. Mainly because I can't stand that posing smug tool.I agree that the team and players shouldn’t worry about it. But surely as fans we can?
Well see what it looks like when Gallimore and Dlaw return but I suspect you're right. Gallimore would have to have made a significant leap for me to be confident which I doubtWe won’t get past Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady if the defense doesn’t get better. Our pass rush isn’t good enough and we give up too many big plays.
In other words you’re not rooting for the best means to win.You read it very well because that is exactly how I read it, I am no cup hunter.
I want to see my team play against the best because that is how I measure them. I am selfish; I want to see the best possible game and if we lose, we lose.
Tom Brady doesn't have our number. The refs had our number. In a rematch it's anyone's game.
That's where we differ (besides me being cuter) I want that matchup. The additional adrenaline a game like that provides is why I watch the sport.Yep but it wouldn’t have been less of a championship if we hadn’t. We can’t help if a tougher opponent gets upset or knocked off along the way.
I’m pretty certain I was rooting for 49ers to lose before we faced them.
Much like rooted against Steelers to lose before they reached Super Bowl.
Well see what it looks like when Gallimore and Dlaw return but I suspect you're right. Gallimore would have to have made a significant leap for me to be confident which I doubt
I said I wasn't all about winning, that is not why I watch. The game matters to me but I didn't say I would want us to lose but I want us to play the best.In other words you’re not rooting for the best means to win.
You’d rather us lose to a tougher opponent than beat an easier opponent. Totally mind bogggling. But at least I read it right. Thanks
