I want Green Bay

Why can’t our offense out score theirs?

Dallas has an entirely better roster than both of those teams.

We need the 85 Bears defense too?

The Cowboys defense right now is really good for modern day standards. It’s not some weakness. It’s been just as big over this stretch of wins as any aspect of the team.
Because as good as Dak is playing, I still don't trust him to go toe to toe with Rodgers/Brady in the playoffs. I have to see it to believe it. We cannot win a shootout against them. Our best odds are if we play a balanced offensive game and the only way we execute that plan is if the defense gets off the field. Our defense needs to improve in three areas - limit big plays, more consistent interior pressure, better run D assignment from the LBs. Luckily we have some reinforcements coming that will help in those

the pass rush has been pretty solid imo. getting tank back will only improve that aspect (along with galimore hopefully) and parson's is obviously still the x factor there. big plays are a definite achilles though

Our pass rush has had its moments but it hasn’t been real consistent. Randy Gregory at times looks on stoppable. Parsons really jumped off the film the first three games but has somewhat disappeared the last three games. We have him doing a lot and he’s on the field most of the time. He starting to look a little winded out there. He may have already hit the rookie wall.

Our defense is below average statistically. Without the turnover differential our season would be much different.
This is not accurate. And you can't cherry pick an important factor in a defense to take a dump on them.

I like that. Honest post.

Because the only way you can doubt this Cowboys roster is if your belief is the other team just has a better QB than we do so you just blame the defense for not being absolutely spectacular.

At least you said it and I feel the same. I don’t think Dak can out duel these QBs until I see it because right now he is playing phenomenal. 567 yards of total offense against Belichick should give us the confidence against anyone.

I guarantee up in Buffalo they think their guy Josh Allen can hang with anyone. Same in AZ.

I am exactly the opposite and those 90's games against the Niners were special, I would have felt cheated if we didn't play them.

You play golf, don't you? Familiar with the term "cup hunter"? These people shade their handicaps to play against the lesser competition so they can win trophies only they are cheaters. They cheat themselves out of measuring themselves against the best because they fear on measuring up.

You are never going to know how the big dog's food tastes if you avoid going to his bowl.

Now, the question will arise are they the team to beat so the Cowboys might not be facing the best but because of the Cowboys history with him and them, I want to face him when it counts the most.

There are 5 teams in the NFC that I think are really close: AZ, TB, DAL, LAR and GB and January is a long way off. AZ is the only one of those we'll face before then and we are 0-1 against that field as of today.
No I don’t feel that way. I’m always looking for the least road of resistance. Cause I want to increase my chances of winning.

Raising the Lombardi isn’t going to feel any less if we don’t face Tampa or Green Bay . And there will be no asterisks.

I’ll be rooting for all of the top teams to lose in playoffs so we don’t have to face them. Totally absurd that we’d root for a greater chance to lose.

Prescott and Company. One of the very few to beat Green Bay in their house.

The pass rush has been good. The teams we play are either quick passing or max protecting because of how good the pass rush has been.

Screw the stats on that one.

Build a big lead and sacks + turnovers will follow. We don’t lead the league in turnovers because our opponents QBs aren’t feeling pressure.

Our pass rush hasn’t been good enough to defend Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers that’s the point. No doubt in my mind they’ll shred us unless we get a lot better. Mac Jones a rookie was dissecting us pretty good. Who knows where we would be right now has it not been for all the turnovers we’ve gotten. We would have lost last week if it wasn’t for the pick-six.

Tom Brady gets rid of the ball quick. You want a “better pass rush” then you have to tighten coverage. You’re not gonna hit that guy. He’s 44 and still playing for that reason.

Rodgers is different.. He’s just going to run and extend plays. We have the guys now to stop him.

If you hold the ball against our defense they are going to make plays.

Dallas doesn’t have a lack of pressure problem or teams wouldn’t play as scared as they do against our defense.

Carolina is a great example. They played their nice and cozy conservative Offense against us until our offense pulled away a little and then it was bombs away on the 3rd quarter because they were forced to look downfield.

I’m a Parsons homer. But I think the combo of Gregory and Parsons at edge would be absolutely 100% lethal.

The two Super Bowl losses Brady had against the Giants show the formula for how to beat him. You got to get pressure upfront. You have to move him off his spot which they did plenty of times. You need interior pressure against him and Aaron Rodgers.

They need to put Parsons back on the DLine sometimes. He was really good when he was rushing the passer as a DE. Just sayin. Have not seen him much as a LB.

You have to make Brady hold the ball. Nothing else works until you take away his options.

He knows where the ball should go and no matter how poor his Oline is or how good our pass rush is it won’t make a difference if he snaps it and we don’t have his options covered.

While we might look like a contender I’m not sure how we can declare we are a proven contender until we become one like Green Bay, Tampa and LA.

And why I’m also hesitant in placing AZ in that discussion either.

Well then you are not all in on this team like I am. I don't think they need to fear any team in either conference.

He was a phenom doing that.

I don’t think we beat the Chargers if Parsons is in the role he is in now.

He doesn’t hold the ball you have to corral him upfront. That’s what the Giants did in both Super Bowls. They got after him. They were relentless.

If you don’t take away his quick options it will never matter. He’ll play to 100 getting the ball out quick and never taking hits.

Every team wants to hit Brady. It’s not that every team lacks the talent to do it. The ball just comes out quicker than the pass rush can get there.
