A couple of weeks ago, I made a thread that was all for drafting another blue chipper on the OL. I was loving the run game at the time, and still am up to a point.

But, it is obvious to me that this defense can not hold up 16 games with the current make-up. We need a dominant DE, ML, CB and a safety.

We do have three good linebackers but I don't think we will ever see them all play in the same game. Moore and Mo need to battle it out for a back-up and we need a ball-hawking FS. A huge NT would not hurt either but we need to get some sacks and consistent pressure on all three downs.

This defense is held together with duct-tape and WD-40 and that won't last much longer. Never thought I would be pinning for Brent to come back(if ready) and Lawrence needs to be ready.

D. Harris needs to find a new home next season, we need someone more explosive back there.

If Dallas wants to sign AP and let Murray go, I won't argue that either. Sick and tired of his fumbles and carrying the ball like a loaf of bread just to get that extra yard after a 1st down.

I know, I know...it is one game but it was not pretty.

We play half-arsed next week and we will be ran out of the building....get it together now!

Do you guys realize how ridiculous you guys sound overreacting after a loss to the Deadskins? But this is what happens. You overreacted over the Seahawks and Aint's wins so I guess I should expect the same on losses. Its going to be a roller coaster ride.

We don't have this....we don't have that...boy.

LOL. Murray was the only reason Cowboys were even in this game.

Harris is irrelevant, but they gave up freaking 17 points. How anyone can blame this game on the D is beyond me.

Pretty sure you could say he's the only reason the Commanders were in the game too, given that atrocious fumble.

I did not overreact to the SEA or NO games FYI. I just see the problems that will hold this team back from more than one playoff appearance, that is all. We are not a Super Bowl team or even in the top three contenders.

I like the direction, but there still needs to be work done of the defensive side.

While I agree but at the same time.......there were a few penalties they got them out of field goal range.....Deadskins had chances to put up 27 or more today......

But I agree with you thought ultimate. They are a bad team and a bad team beats itself. Thats' what they did. Plus the defense had to deal with 2 fumbles......

Hey I feel as sick as the next person but we'll be fine. If we can get out of this game with romo not as bad as it seems I'll be happy. All day, and I was even guilty of this, mostly everyone thought this was gonna be a walk in the park. Hopefully this humbles us, we learn from it and move. We beat the cards next week it's all good again. We'll get demarcus and hopefully be hungry from this loss. Just gotta learn from it and move on. If you would have told me we'd be 6-2 right now at the beginning of the season I would have said you're crazy but have been thrilled. This sucks right now but it'll be fine. Losing Durant for the season does really suck tho.

The 2nd half and OT was bad, real bad. They kept us in it for as long as they could. My point is...if our offense isn't almost perfect and dominate the TOP, they are in trouble.

Why didn't you? You are overreacting after this loss lol.

But I agree. There's problems here. We knew this. Most of us had us 8-8 or worse before the season. There's problems that probably won't be fixed this season. But this team isn't nearly as bad as you're making it out to be. The fact is, this offense is good enough to win against any team in this league and when they control the clock they can beat anyone.

They didn't control the clock today. That's a loss.

He more than made up for the fumble but you're right. This team can't kill themselves. Just can't. If you want ot win the clock battle you have to simply hold on to the football.

Church needs to go.
We need a true number 1 corner.
We need a true Pass rusher.

On offense i think we need to draft a QB to groom tonight was a reminder Romo's career is coming to an end sooner than we would like and relying on castaways is what caused the 2000's to be a roller coaster

LOL. Overreact much? Someone pull out the stat about Murray getting 20 carries plus and win correlation. Team lost because it went away from what was working, run, run and run some more. Murray scores in red zone if given the ball even ONE more time, instead coaches call 2 passing plays for the backup. Ridiculous.

Skins blitzed 7 and 8 guys every time Romo went shotgun, it was pathetic seeing Cowboys expose Romo like that especially when he returned and was obviously not right.

It just seemed all around on both sides of the ball we didn't stick to what has been winning us games. Played too much zone and didn't rely on the run when we should have. Just really an off game for everyone

I did not overreact because SEA was just a surprise and we had a good game plan(I don't want to meet them again in SEA if it comes to that). NO was floundering at that point and wasn't gelling at that point.

Tonight showed some ugly warts on how to beat us.......blitz, blitz and blitz some more while making sure Dez doesn't beat you. We went away from what was working at that worries me. Yes, Murray got his yards but his # was not called upon when needed most and the fumble killed momentum.

6-2 is great at this point but we have to win next week, ARI is no joke.

You can't run run run and runs some more when your runner can't stop fumbling. All of those stats go out the door when your guy fumbles 5 times in 7 games and the backup coughs one up.

I dont believe in making up for a fumble.

The NFL is too competitive to make up for massive mistakes like that...there is no difference between this week and the first 4. He has not protected the ball all year, and he simply isn't good enough to overcome that. Fumbles are absolutely unforgiveable in my eyes, especially when they happen over and over again. Protect the ball, or ride pine. I dont care if you lead the league in yards.

Not saying they played terrible but being on the field 21 of the 30 minutes in the 2nd half was terrible. That gives your offense no time to get into any rhythm. They were poor at tackling tonight and let Washington pick up 3rd down after 3rd down.

The OP is not over reacting. This defense is no that good. Better than last year? Sure. But that was the worst in Dallas history and one of the worst in NFL history. So that's not saying much. Teams have WRs running free every single game. We got lucky that some of those QBs missed on them i.e. Locker and Fitzpatrick.

We desperately need a good DB. Carr is terrible. Mo is a lost cause. Scandrick is ok but if he's your #1, you are in trouble. Our safety play is very meh, too.

Need LBs too. Lee is obviously never going to be healthy to give you anything. Carter is so up and down. Who knows what McClain ends up as.

I still think you gran another OL in round 2. Another pass rusher is key, too. Not having any pass rush just kills us at times.
