I want to see less Murray

If we keep running him like this he wont make it half the season...

I don't know what the word is on Joseph Randle but I would like to see more of him or get Ryan Williams out there and really have a good 1-2 punch.

He is in a contract year, something tells me he will play 16 games, have the best.year of his career, Jerry will sign him to a 5yr.deal for too much money and he won't play more than 10 games a year after.that.

He would have had fewer carries if Randle didn't get a concussion.

I hope they activate Ryan Williams.

If that guy plays then there will be people clamoring for him over Murray at some point imo.

He runs just as hard and looks for daylight first before going right at someone.

Either way i'd like to see less Murray until we get into December or that guy is going to get hurt.

You can't run him less if it is working. You either make it through the season or "next man up". I am sure they will mix in Randle and Dunbar now and again to give him breathers but you have to stick with what is winning games; bottom line.

Considering that an injury can occur with Murray whether we're using him a little or a lot, I don't agree with you. Ride the hot hand while we've got him.

Now, if the game's in hand, get him out of there because there's no reason to risk injury at that point.

im guessing they want the fullback for short yd situations.

There's no need to worry, the Titans game was an aberration as far as the time of possession goes. Things will be back to normal, likely starting this week. I like Murray at 20-22 carries and I think (hope) he can hold up on that.

I don't think he can long term. He needs to stay around 15 carries imo until we get to the late part of the season.

He runs so high and defenders just look like they are going to break his leg on every run.

If he's gonna get hurt he's gonna get hurt.

I'd rather they get an idea if he can even make it through a season with a heavy workload. They need to know if he can stay healthy so they don't pay him like a player who can when he cannot.

If his history is any indication, he will miss time during the season.

However I imagine they will try to get more touches to the other backs as well.

I would imagine that if this Oline continues to do well in run blocking, you might have a slight drop off if Murray goes down and misses time but not a huge drop off IMO.

We will see.

It also depends if Romo gets back (pun intended) closer to his former self and they decide to start passing more.

That's what im thinking as well. Especially if it's a guy like Ryan Williams getting those carries.

I think he's already shown he can't... So I'm with Catch. Manage Murray's workload now. Because if you don't and he gets hurt, there's your excuse to go back to passing it 45 times a game.

you can do that while still limiting him. he's on pace for 400+ carries. last running back to hit that mark was larry johnson in 2006.

And with the way Romo is looking I don't think we stand a chance that way.
